Okay, go ahead and quote the rules. Continue to shop and and enjoy your experience.

Just dont look for the employee who will help your handicapped mother or father, or if you need help either. He's not there. He's been fired. And sadly, he was the only one who helped the customers were needed help.

Did you even read what happened to Fred, and Dylan. I think those writing in are about as heartless as the management at Menards.

Exactly how were they rude?

My friend Fred, 78 years old and handicapped, would shop at the store quite frequently. One young employee would see Fred, and compassionately assist him into the store, and take him to his car.

Fred gave the young man a tip, which he refused, but Fred wouldn't take it back. The young man was fired. Fred was heartsick that he had cost the young man his job. Fred had tipped other employees who at one time or another had helped him.

Fred set up a meeting with these 2 managers, who were insulting to him, saying they videotaped him when he came into the store, and called him the "generous guest." My friend is a man almost 80 years old, who simply was accustomed to showing his appreciation to waiters or other staff that helped him, due to his handicapping physical limitations. They were demeaning to Fred, and dismissed his pleas to give the kind employee another chance, that he was only helping Fred. They couldnt have cared less. Our attempts to reach customer service have been in vain.

There's no one in the building. No one has attempted to resolve our complaint in any way.

Fred should have respected the employees wishes regarding their refusing his tip That employee would Not have been fired if Fred had done that Fred needs to take No for an answer and Not insist that the employee take his tip Perhaps Menards has a No tip policy Please respect that

Menards does have a policy against accepting tips.

I think it's been explained, but will explain again. Fred is handicapped and 78 years old.

Upon finding out that a young employee who assisted him numerous times was fired because Fred gave him a Christmas card, with a note of thanks, and then after requesting a meeting, Fred was shown no courtesy or respect, meeting held at the front door. No real concern or intention to listen to the facts. Fred was dismissed and told he was under surveillance. The managers did not give Fred the common courtesy to meet with him in a private space but in the area by the doors where people come in and out, ridiculing him and telling him he was on monitor each time he came in, not giving his concerns the slightest attention.

I dont know how you would expect to be treated, but if this is okay with you, then by all means, shop away! Maybe if it was your son or daughter who had been let go for extreme care and concern for another human being, your thoughts would be different.
