Where can you rent a vehicle that they aren't going to charge you for the full time you have it? Do you think you can go to u-haul to rent a truck and ask them not to charge for time or milage until you call them and let them know the materials you are hauling are loaded? Bet you won't find a lower rental rate for hauling a quick load either.

Why should I shop at Menards when both Home Depot and Lowes offer every day shop where10% off for the military community. Menards used to be a shopping option because of their mail in rebate ... now, I don't think I will shop there again. They are not taking care of me...

The 11% rebate is just a promotion they run too much of the year. You may be used to Menards having great prices over the years but take a close look at what has happened over the past couple of years.

Prices have gone up at Menards, they no longer match the prices of their competitors, the most popular name brand products are becoming more scarce at Menards. You will often find comparable or lower prices elsewhere and Home Depot even matches Menards rebates on most in stock items.

Don't let an 11% rebate be the reason you shop at Menards. Compare prices and quality and buy at the store that offers the best value.

On line order

I didnt use a big card I was trying resolve an order issue. There is no easy way to contact a representative for your online orders. For some reason my order changed and I have no idea why and there is no simple way to Speak to a HUMAN BEING

I really don't understand why, if you are going to the store to pick up your products that people just don't go in, buy them and head for the register. Seems to be much quicker than searching for item on-line, paying a processing fee and going through the pick up routine.

If you haven't received their rebates in the past it is very possible you got it and tossed it in the trash thinking it was junk mail. The credit comes as a tightly folded post card with advertising on the back and if you don't look closely you won't realize it is folded.

Go to the tracking site and you will find information on how to e-mail them. Request that they re-send your rebate if it hasn't been used.

If it has been used ask them to investigate who used it. If you do a search on the internet you will find that a number of these rebates have been used by postal employees.

Bad product from their subsidiary

Purchased a complete lumber package which included trusses for our house. After the installation of the trusses we found the gusset plates were installed incorrectly or missing in locations. They gave us engineered repairs but wouldn't reimburse us for the labor cost.

Typical Menards response. You can often by trusses from a local truss supplier at a comparable price with much faster delivery. If you have a problem with a truss from a local supplier the truss is often replaced within a day or two.

They do this as they would much rather have you come shop in their stores than placing orders on line. When you shop online you don't get sucked into making impulse purchases like you do in the stores.

Why do you think they have so much candy, snacks and low priced high margin items surrounding their cash registers. Order processing fees and high shipping charges help make up for the profits they loose on your impulse purchases in their stores.

Terrible customer service

The cashier put items that were sold in a different location upon check out. When I realized that I was missing the items (after I got home and unpacked my bags) I called the store. The front desk manager was terrible and said she would only review the video if I came back. So I went back and was told, "you checkout and took your items". However, I was not allowed to see the video, do not recall bagging the items, and they were not in my bags. I resent being basically told that was a liar and thief. I will be spending my money at another home improvement store from now on. *** MENARDS.

What do you mean "the cashier put items in a different area"? They scan the item and put them on a conveyor for you to bag. My guess is that you left a bag in your cart in the parking lot.

You should be careful anytime you place an order anywhere. We no longer live in a day and age where purchase orders had to be written by hand and mailed to a vendor.

When I worked at Menards they were at a point that the instant you paid for your order it was electronically transmitted to the vendor. Depending on the vendor and what was ordered it may be difficult to cancel an order. As an example if you ordered a window the vendor may then place orders for the glass to be cut, frame materials, weatherstripping etc.. All this may be done within minutes of your placing an order.

Trying to cancel all the orders may be difficult if not impossible. Take time to be sure you actually want a product before placing an order.

Backordered item

I received an email stating my order, #MCOM3648****, is on backorder and the vendor wants to know if I still want the item. YES, I still want this chandelier!!!! I don't care if it's on backorder, I will gladly wait till it is available. Please make certain the vendor gets my message.

Zero customer service

The last few years I have ordered the same case of nails but could not find them on the app. Tried diligently to contact someone to give me the current item # for the nails with no luck. You can talk to someone about your credit card or call a local store but there is no one to help you with online orders and I mean no one. Yes you can email but sometimes youre willing to be on hold for a few minutes to get an answer rather than to wait a day or more to have an email returned

Knowing Menards they have either changed suppliers for the nails you were using or discontinued the style of nail or package size. You'll have to look for a replacement that will fit your needs.

I need a receipt for rebate

Well I ordered two items and pick them up in Peru Illinois I live in Indiana so I went to Menards and ask what they print out my receipt because I lost my email but the rebate receipt and I want us in for my rebate and they said all I have to contact the store in Peru so I did and they said I have to contact you guys and this is just been a run around all I want is my receipt from my order from September 2nd to order number was Peru 60071 it was two items a leaf blower and weed wacker

This isn’t actually a website affiliated with Menards so you’ll get no “advise” from them here….this is a website where boomers such as yourself go to complain when they don’t do things correctly (such as follow simple rules to mail in a rebate or read to understand the amount of time it may take to get it back or learn the proper place to contact if you have an issue). More often then not, you entitled, society-sucking, benefit-draining, holier-than thou entitled Karen’s come in here to fling your complaints into the abyss that is the internet and expect that someone is supposed to instantly get you gratification for whatever perceived slight you’ve encountered that is usually of your own making!!!!!!

Figure out the correct place to lodge your complaint. It literally takes a 10 second google search and a set of eyes.
