Bought a Remington string trimmer from Menards. From day one, it ran horribly.

Go to the front desk and they tell you once you put gas in it, you have to bring it to a service center. (not local, mind you) Their sign reads that if you have issues the first eight days, return it to the store. But the store employees don't follow that procedure.

I can run it about five minutes before it wraps grass up on the shaft and binds.

Take it apart, and use it another five minutes.

Talked to the store manager. He is very short sighted and doesn't understand how much future business they lose when they don't take care of the problems in house. Into the dumpester with this. Ordering one from Amazon.

Heading to home depot for everything else.

Monetary Loss: $89.

What day exactly was day 1? Oh wait you didn't have a receipt to verify when and where you purchased it.

You get what you pay for. If you want top of the line you need to pay top of the line prices.

If you're going to spend less than 80 bucks on a gas trimmer you may as well buy an electric you will get way more bang for your buck. Not to mention you can return it as long as you have the receipt :).
