Went to order 4 Irwin screwdrivers on line , total cost of the 4 screwdrivers $13.46, before their rebate(store cruditรฉs only). Cost of the processing fee $11.20.
That is robbery The cost of the processing fee is 82% of the products I am buying, insane.
And dont forget the shipping cost on top of that, I have no clue what it even was, because I canceled my order. How does this business do any online sales, why wound anyone buy from them, when their 2 biggest competitors do not charge a processing fee for online and they will ship to the store for free.
User's recommendation: Avoid ordering online from Menards.

They do this as they would much rather have you come shop in their stores than placing orders on line. When you shop online you don't get sucked into making impulse purchases like you do in the stores.
Why do you think they have so much candy, snacks and low priced high margin items surrounding their cash registers. Order processing fees and high shipping charges help make up for the profits they loose on your impulse purchases in their stores.
So the "processing fee" is essentially a fine to the customer for not entering the retail store???? All other big box stores, independent hardware stores and grocery stores offer curbside pick up for free.
Home depot has a locker vending machine type set up by the entrance where you can pick up merchandise, again no cost above shelf price plus sales tax.
Wheres menards get off charging this illegal add on fee. Most likely they tell uncle sam at the end of the year the "processing fees" they collect are a voluntary tip from the customer
Where do you get the idea the fee is illegal? No one is forcing anyone to purchase anything from Menards.
If you don't like paying their fee feel free to shop at stores that don't charge them. There are plenty of stores that sell the same things that Menards does that offer better service and competitive prices.
Mission accomplished! My wallet has permanently left menards and now shop Home Depot or independent hardware stores. They do not stroke customers left and right with add on fees, do not shout โthatโs not my jobโ and run off at the speed of light when customers ask for basic assistance, and nor do they falsely accuse me of shoplifting and fraud when I return an item that was either never used or failed from day one.
It shouldnt matter then they shouldnt even have a website if that is the reason you say. How stupid your reason is.
