Purchased Quartz countertop and cast iron sink on July 1, 2015. I was handed a list of installers, with a recommendation of 2 installers. I paid for the $5,200 worth of material. I waited 4 weeks for the template to arrive to my house. The installer came to my house for the exact measurements, and I returned the template the same day with several changes, including sink measurements wrong and measurements wrong that were given Mennards day of purchase. It was told to me to let my installer complete the cuts of faucets/sink because he was really good , otherwise it would take another 4 weeks for another template to arrive. Aug 20, 20215 sink and counter top installed, with the installer only doing the install of the top an sink.. not the plumbing. I then called the plumber results:
1. sink was installed wrong crooked
2. faucet/water dispenser holes did not match the cass iron sink with the opening closed half way.
Called installer with no return calls, went to Mennards , with management, assistant manager stating;
1.Any installer is not a Mennards employee and I was on my own, I needed to call the installer that took the $920 check and walked out knowing there was no way any plumbing could be connected. Even though reconmdations were given to me per staff ( 3) to let him cut the holes.
2. Upon asking more questing discovered there are list of installers for carpet/ cabinets/ plumbing/ electrical at all Mennards welcoming anyone to walk in the store fill out a form not checking license/background investigation/ felonies/or even if they have the skills trade of that specific job etc. and not concern about the customers safety or end quality of work done. When a list of installers are handed to customers they are an extension of Mennards and the quality delivered or not even have a list available , let the public know its all about the sell of the product and at the bottom dollar!
For a nationwide corporation I believe you should look closely to your reflection of respect and integrity.
I now have over $6000 in this project and unable to use my sink or have running water!!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $5000.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
