WELL, I WENT BUY A PATIO SET THAT WAS ON SALE, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE WHOLE PATIO SET THERE. IF I WANTED THE WHOLE PATIO SET I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO GOTO THREE DIFFERENT STORES THE WHOLE TRIP I WAS GOING TO MAKE WAS GOING TO BE AROUND 120 MILES BY THE TIME IT WAS ALL DONE. BECAUSE 1 STORE HAD THE CHAIRS AND 1 STORE HAD THE TOP TO THE TABLE AND 1 HAD THE TABLE LEGS, IF THEYR'E GOING TO SELL SOMETHING LIKE A PATIO SET WHY NOT HAVE IT IN 1 STORE INSTEAD OF 3.

Monetary Loss: $150.

Saving big money at Menards:-(

The reason they would put it on sale this late is probably because many stores in the country can benefit because they have a full set available. Whereas, the area you reside has sold their stock on certain pieces of said patio set.

Chances are, the sale this week was already decided months ago much like other retail stores tend to do.

I think you were lucky to find a patio set you wanted for only $150.00 this TIME of year, all within 120 miles. Not their fault they didn't have it all at one store.

What did you expect at this time of year for $150.00.

That they get ALL the pieces for you, delivered from the other stores at no additional cost to you? Aren't you expecting just a little too much?

PATIO SETS ARE CURRENTLY ON SEASONAL CLOSE OUT, have been for over 1 month now........ All that is left is random pieces from the year.

Matter of fact most sets are sold out completely. MENARDS SELLS EVERY PIECE TO THEIR SETS INDIVIDUAL. A person can come in and buy 1 chair or just the table, when it comes to this time of the year it's less and less likely MENARDS WILL HAVE A FULL SET AVAILABLE. YOU WANT A COMPLETE SET AT A STORE GO DURING THE START OF SUMMER NOT THE END OF IT.

If you worked retail you would understand this concept of "SEASONAL ITEMS" better. Stores do not have the room to be 100% stocked on summer/winter items year around. They need to change over in order to make sure the store continues to be profitable.

THERE IS LITTLE TO NO REASON TO HOLD ON TO FULL PATIO SETS THRU THE WINTER. They rarely sell and just get in the way.

This is what happens at the end of the season for "seasonal" merchandise. Perhaps you should have purchased a patio set at the beginning of the Spring/Summer season and you could have received a whole set from one store.

Have you ever been shopping for shorts in a clothing store in September? Did you ever wonder why the selection is so limited?

This happens in nearly every sales environment. Car sales, clothing, retail, etc.
