What is you problem that you feel you need to talk to some one on the phone at their corporate offices about? They prefer e-mails or written correspondence.

This provides written documentation on both sides. It also allows them to research your complaint which they can't do while you are on the phone.

Phone calls can also be frustrating. Just think of how much Time you spend on hold waiting for a customer service rep at companies that do take calls.

Details
End result is that the local stores GM refunded the fee. However, when you call Menards, they do not leave options in their menu to speak to humans.. This took an afternoon to resolve.

This doesn't always happen. You should give details of what your situation was and why they waived the restock charge.

Did the wrong item arrive, was it ordered at the store with their employees assistance or did you order it on line? Was it an odd item or something that could be easily re-sold?

Standard Menadrds response the "mail man stole you rebate or someone else took it"...but its never their fault. They can do electronic rebates but don't because ther can manipulate the date they send them out and also because they are lost like this one which is just more money in their pockets.

Good luck get a another rebate chance it won't happen! Also, rebate International is not in ELK mound that their PO box it is in Eau Claire at their main office. The "lady" who runs it...talk like a sailor...Sue Mulder work for Charlie Menards.

So don't let them give you a line of BS it a difference company...they just tell you that because they have no spine! Ryan L.

You are right, they don't care anymore. Menards is getting to be more and more like a grocery store.

Put products on the shelf and expect their customers to grab them and take them through the registers.

It is getting harder and harder to find anyone willing to help you even in areas that require a salespersons assistance. They would much rather have you purchase high margin items that they have on the shelf in the store than lower margin items that the need to assist you in ordering.

You should have listened to the first employee. Just look at your picking ticket.

It says to take your product today as it may not be there later. Did you really think they were going to pull your order and set it aside for you? Look around you. Does their store look like a warehouse full of orders waiting for people to pick up.

They don't have a staff of people to pull your product. They have a self service lumber yard and yes, you pick your own product. The only way they will pull your order is if you PAY for delivery. A portion of the delivery charge covers the cost of having someone pull your order.

I doubt that you are going to find other stores that are going to assemble your order for you.

You may find others with more assistance in pulling your order but you will pay more for your product. Somehow you have totally unrealistic expectations for a big box discount store.

Are you looking at a wood or a vinyl window? Certain series of the vinyl window have the brickmold extruded as part of the window.

Wood windows will come standard with the brickmold. The computer program may no longer offer the removal as an option. Did they offer to contact the manufacturer of the window for a custom quote without the brickmold?

It is also possible that the manufacturer in an effort to streamline production no longer offers the option of ordering without the brickmold. If this is the case order one with the brickmold and remove it when it arrives.

It would be emailed to you in the confirmation email or the order email. Check you email spam folders, it might have got placed there by your email provider.

Of you have nothing then go to the receipt kiosk in the store and print a copy receipt from that and send with the rebate form and a short note, stating you didnt get an email confirmation. That should get you taken care of.

What reason did they give for not being able to make the delivery? Many communities impose weight restrictions on the roads that are lower in the spring until the frost is out of the ground.

If this is the case, you will just have to wait until the weight restrictions are lifted by your community.

As far as using large trucks goes, it is common for companies delivering building material to use large trucks as many loads require large trucks. If you are in a hurry, get a refund on the delivery charge, rent a u-haul and pick it up yourself.

Have you bothered to try tracking your rebate? You can either use the web address on the rebate form or go to Menards.com and use the rebate tracker there.

Are you new to Menards Rebates?

If you are, are you aware that the credit check comes as a folded post card with an ad on the back? Is it possible it came and you threw it away thinking it was an ad without looking at it?
