I remodeled this house top to bottom with windows doors floor all new utilities, and new furnace and a/c. temp was set at 60 during both winters.

So moisture or heat would laminate counters to fail yet there is neither? And the fact that when I pulled the laminate up there was almost no surface glue on the mdf subtrate of bottom of the laminate?

when checking out we didn't get our bag that had our spickt handle in it when I told them manager viewed viedoe an said my boyfriend put it in his pocket so I went an got him to come back in and the manager showed us the video and we could see that we didn't take it another customer got his stuff put with ours and he left the store so the manager lied when he told me my boyfriend put in his pocket I know we don't steal what an awful day at menards for us 879 mall drive portage mi we will never shop there again people steal yes but for the manager to look at video an say we pocketed it then show us on video that we didn't well were never coming back an sure will spread the word what a bogus manager

Menards in Kalamazoo, Michigan - Pre-paid and sold out from under

Paid for 7 sections of stockade fencing on Saturday, told I could get them delivered on Sunday (paid for that too). Now I'm told my pre-paid order got sold out from underneath me and no more is available, and might not be indefinitely. In most cases a business will take it on the chin and say "you know what, this was our fault, let us give you an upgrade of available material at no extra charge" but no, that's not the way they do things. Why would I go back to Menards when there is apparently always the chance that what I have bought and paid for may be sold out from under me as I'm waiting for delivery? Courtesy of the fine folks at the Wyoming Michigan location, delivery coordinator said his GM refused upgrade and that "floor people" have been selling items marked as pre-paid. Was able to call Lowe's and get the same thing in stock and delivery scheduled.

This happens all the time at my store; often people prepay patio furniture then it's not pulled or tagged and someone comes along and buys it... Menards can't do anything for you once this happens.

Should it happen, no... but it does. Often the core issue is communication issues.. Sometimes people are buying stuff at the same time and they don't know it.

I could be over at the desk writing up the invoice for your stuff; while another employee is loading up the last of it into someones cart. Menards cannot do anything for you in this situation besides apologizes and tell you when the next order is coming in so you can get it then.

Menards does not hold every product sold at their stores...it's called cash and carry. If you prepay and don't take there is a chance it won't be there.

The fact that you set it up for delivery and it wasn't there makes it a little different. I'm guessing by the time the employ went to pull it for delivery it was gone.

I do agree they should have gave you a comparable product.

Jimmy doesn't know what he is talking about. Once the item is prepaid the item is suppose to be pulled into the special order pick up area or back to the delivery bay and tagged.

Setting up a delivery does not matter, someone failed to do their job of getting it to the correct area in this case it was the delivery bay. Cash and carry is a silly term you just made up, never been referenced at my store.....

Putting an item on hold unpaid is a different situation, but once the item is paid for it belongs to the person who paid for it. If they do not pick it up in roughly 30 to 90 days it can be redounded and put back on the floor for sale depending on the store.

Heartless, I usually agree with you on many of these complaints. But, cash and carry is a term that is pretty known in our stores, it is actually printed in the fine print of our ads(found on the last page).

It's part of our policy actually, policy states that we are not allowed to pull pre-paids (with the exception of the new online pick up at store feature). With the most busy stores we actually have a strict policy of not pulling a pre-paid for storage reasons. If you pull a pre-paid that is not made through the online system you are breaking the policy. I deal with this on a daily basis, pre-paids secure the price not the physical item, only a special order will secure the item.

(*** I know, but it is our policy. Blame the guy with his last name on the building.)

I send in 4 rebates to Menard's and I got only 3 ,the one they did not sent was for a pack of lint rollers it was to be a five dollars , the date on the sales recite is 09- 18- 11 I need to know why they have not sent it , I mailed them all in one embelope so I know they got it as I got the ather 3 back ,I do have the sales recite for this , and the date on it again is 09 -18-11 , the Menard's address 7410 E Court St Davison Mich. hope to hear soon on this Thank's Lilzait @yahoo.com
