Any credits on transactions are billed generically together, not itemized. The cashier does it right there in front of you, if you cared to pay attention, and if there was a problem with any credit application they'd just override the correct amount in manually under generic MCC to make the totals correct.

Which still wouldn't reflect the credits in itemized format, but you wouldn't be out anything.

Yeah Menards is way behind the times.

That's strange. My store set bintags the night before sale start, usually an hour or two before close.

We would honor the price, but the guest would have to tell the cashier which items were on sale.

The cashier would then radio back to the departments to have them check the bintags to verify that a sales price was up and could be honored.

It's been a while since my times as a manager, but as far as I know, it's company policy to honor prices even on expired/prematurely set bintags. I'd ever tell the customer on sale set nights to make sure to tell the customer to radio back to me.

Menards - I went in for a sales item and they were sold out. Since I drove 30 minutes to get there, I asked for a substitution. It took me 2 managers and 40 minutes to get one. Horrible customer service!!

Menards in Newark, New Jersey - More then one problem.

I've had problems with Menards in the past, but they've generally been minor. This last one was just ridiculous. I went into the Menards in Bradley IL on Friday, May 30th and bought some laminate flooring. I told the sales clerk that the contractor would pick it up Sunday June 1st, or Monday June 2nd. He went in today, the 1st, and was told they had sold out of the flooring, even though he had the receipt showing it was paid for. We have done this before so didn't think we'd have a problem. I called the store and was directed to the flooring department where the girl I spoke to was anything but helpful so I hung up. I called back and asked to speak to the manager, who was also not even slightly helpful. His options to fix the problem was doing a special order, which could take weeks, weeks we don't have, or be forced to drive to the next nearest store that has it in stock, which is at least 50 miles. We shouldn't have to drive for hours or waste money on gas because of their obvious *** up. Totally ridiculous. Me and my fiancée have speant at least $4000.00 total at Menards, and we will never again buy from them. We are going to Lowes.

Good go to Lowes! The problem is eventually Lowes who has double the complaints on this website will eventually let you down because of your ignorant expectations.

As a consumer it is your responsibility to take your items when you pay for your items.

If you cannot do so you should not be purchasing the item. Anonymous schooled you by the way.

Unfortunately Menards is not a storage facility for people to store their product wile their project is being done. They don't have room to pull product off the floor to store it for everyone that is working on a project.

If you look at the picking list you were given there is bold print below the area the products are listed in. It says "TO AVOID PRODUCT NOT BEING AVAILABLE ON A LATER DATE, PLEASE PICK UP ALL MERCHANDISE TODAY. THANK YOU". It goes on in the next paragraph with additional terms including the fact they product is not held for a specific guest but instead is available to the buying public on a first come, first serve basis.

Please pick up all purchases mad on this picking ticket immediately.....Menards liability to you is limited to refunding your original purchase price for any product not picked up. A word to the wise...when you come to shop, bring a vehicle to take your product home or set it up for delivery.
