terrible customer service aka guest services. bought bathtub and surround three and half years old.

bottom of tub cracking and probably seeping water through to floor. this early failure is unacceptable. these were high end items made by lyons industries of dowagiac mi. this is poor advertising for menards and lyons industry.

neither company is willing to step up to the plate and do the right thing.apparently neither company has anybody with authority to make decisions. all i want is the fixtures either replaced or purchase price refunded. i'm tired of hearing about the three year warranty being up, thats bull *** these products should last many years, this is major remodeling and expense.

I also purchased the Lyons classic bathtub when remodeling my bathroom about 4 years ago... and i an pissed my tub also cracked along the bottom leaking water through my ceiling in my kitchen down below-- so I contacted Lyons and like you say 3 year warranty and i must have proof of purchase!!

Who keeps proof of purchase!! I was under the impression when you buy a new tub it should last!!

Any way this is going to cost me fortune because I have rip up my marble tile and replace this awful tub... BUYER BEWARE TO NOT BUY LYONS PRODUCTS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE *** THEY PRODUCE!!

Perhaps the reason menards employees are not motivated may be due to the 10 cent raise every 6 months? If an employee goes the extra mile with genuine full customer service everyday, always on time, works when other employees dont show up ETC the store manager has no ability to give him a raise outside the 10 cent every 6 months or increase the amount of the raise.

yes I know some try to justify it by the extra $2.50 a hour on weekends but guess what team members, your just being lowballed the other 5 days a week.

And reguarding the POS "gifts" sent out to employees on holidays its just stuff that even a dollar tree store would toss in the trash. A cheap coin purse with broken zipper and menards logo for easter, deck of cards with menards logo on back for labor day. A hankerchief with menards logo for valentines day, a broken flashlight even when you install not incuded batteries for haloween, but the menards t shirt i recieved as a gift worked out great for painting project i had to do. bottom line if the company treated employees with respect instead of lowballing left and right perhaps they would preform better?

Finally when i recieved the "IPS" bounus i questioned why the tax rate was nearly 50% when normal paychecks are about 20% tax, and even a casino win is 33% tax. I was told "take it or leave it" reguarding the huge take deduction.

Finally why if Ips is instant profit sharing why are the variables the hours you work the year and how many years, and not the variable the net profit for the store or company as a whole? bottom line treat employees with respect and perhaps they will treat customers better and walk faster

For the lady with the water heater, one there is no Menards in CA., two I have had a water heater from Menards for 5 years and have had no problems with it.

Made your comment and still kept your professionalism....Too bad all employees do not still have this attitude and training....Make the customer happy or at least be professional about it....there would be less complaints and more reward that way.....Just my opinion...Old school

I just wish more customers were "professional about it." I work the Menards yard and got F-bomb Repeatedly for something I had nothing to do with. I'm in college and am working here just to finance my expences until I graduate. I don't get paid enough to put up with this ***.

The reason menards employees can be ruder than that of home depot or lowes is because we get paid less and are expected to do way more. I'm a delivery coordinator, I schedule deliveries, pull loads, and check loads, in addition to countless other responsibilites.

But I spend most of my day trying to answer questions about building materials and how to build a deck. I have no freaking idea. How the *** am i supposed to hold your hand on something I don't know AND do my job and do another departments job on top of that? If your delivery is jacked up or you think you were treated rudely think of how you would feel if you had to try to do 5 jobs simultaneously and then try to answer some *** question.

And all for slightly more than I'd get flipping burgers.

I bust my *** and go outta my way to do the best job I can but I'm not gonna be mr chipper all the time given the working conditions. If you don't like it then you can suck it.

what are you suprised, don't even think about buying their cheap richmond electric water heaters, went thru 3 in one month, sure I got a new one but what about the installation of a licensed plumber and the permit, when the fourth one went bad, I went to home depot no problem now, even the licensed plumber replied to be about the *** they sell there, i guess i am still learning, you get what you paid for...

I understand that some complain more than others, but what I am totally amazed about is the calling of customers ***...loose a couple of pounds...lack of core intelligence...your lucky it lasted...

Please be as specific as possible & advise how long you think a 3 year warranty should actually be covered?

Actually before you do that, please confirm you understand time and/or units of time.

A lack of core intelligence seems to be more of an issue than the tub itself.

God people are so *** and cheap. You think bc you bought sum switch plates that rusted TWO years after you bought them that menards should replace them. Next time dont be a cheap *** and get the better quality ***
