Went to Menard's to purchase counter tops on 3 separate occasions. Each time, they were offering an 11% rebate.

It's been 4 months and I am still waiting, waiting, and waiting for my rebate. DO NOT PURCHASE A SINGLE ITEM AT MENARD'S. The rebate company will not return your emails, and the system shows the check is in the mail. Had I known about this scam, I would have never stepped into a Menard's store.

They should be ashamed of themselves for scamming the consumer specially in this day and age.

I am done!! I will go to either Lowes or Home Depot and not have to worry about a damn non-existent rebate!!

Reason of review: Order processing issue.

Scrolling through Pissed Consumer demonstrates that this is a common issue. I've had it, too.

I've also received lesser amounts than I was supposed to get back. People say you should keep copies, but at some point, it becomes a lot of work for "Menards Money." I think they bank on that, literally.

Also, the rebate is a kind of a scam, but not for the reason you list. Most things go on sale.

Most things aren't on sale when they do an 11% rebate "sale." You pay full price and get back Menards credit that can only be spent in Menards stores. So, it's more or less a coupon based on whatever you spend anyway.

Here's a consumer secret I learned recently, though--Home Depot honors the 11% rebate while still running their own sales! Want to get a really good deal?

Shop Home Depot during the 11% and mention it (I don't think they just offer it up). Bonus if you buy sale items at Home Depot when mentioning it!

Yes, Home Depot is often more expensive--you get what you pay for. They carry less *** products.

Interestingly enough, you can submit your rebates online. Do a search for something like "menard's rebates" and you will find the website to do so.

For your instant problem, I waded thru that site and eventually found a "contact us" link and it led to a page where you can enter your name and other info for them to check on your missing rebate(s). The link to the site is:
