we purchased new windows from menards built by jeld-wen. 5 of our 13 windows where VERY VERY LOW QUALITY.

menards was contacted they blew me off to jeld wen. they where contacted. they replied and after photos where sent they never replied again. the problem is special order windows must be paid for in full up front so menards gets there money jeld wen gets there money and you get what you get.

in the middle of October in Wisconsin you cant wait another 6 weeks to get windows. and yes I am part to blame because I removed my old windows before opening packaging on new windows to see that I received crap windows. buyer beware.

hint to jeld wen hire a beaver to trim windows. its cheaper and quality would be better

What exactly is the quality problem you are complaining about? The few pictures you post look like cracked nailing flanges.

That isn't a quality problem, that is damage. It could happen in shipping or handling at the store or even at the job site.

As windows are shipped upright and normally kept that way it the store it would be more common to see damage to the lower portions of the flange than at the top. If they were dropped on the edge being unloaded at the job site damage could hap-pen anywhere, including the upper edge as you show in one of the pictures.

If you’re in the business of shipping out windows then you should be able to do it properly… There is no excuse to receive product like this in this condition.

They pack the windows for proper handling. They can't help it if someone drops the edge of a package off the tailgate of a truck.
