Menards sells Patriot Lighting which I assume is a house brand. They offer an under cabinet LED puck light for kitchens etc.
They come in a single light and a 3 pack. The 3 pack says the lights are extendable up to 20 lights from one power source. Unfortunately, the 3 pack includes 2 puck lights with an incoming and outgoing power port so you can connect light #1to light #2 and light #2 to light #3. Of course it stops there, because light #3 has only an incoming power port.
In order to extend, you have to throw aways light #3 and use light #1 and light #2 from a second set. You can then use one of the light #3s, but if you want to extend all the way to 20, you need to buy a total of 27 lights (9-three packs) and you have to throw 7 of the lights away. How stupid is this?
They might save a few pennies by leaving off the extra power port, but what a waste of money for the consumer. Who every designed this should have to go to work at Sears.
