New store in Bridgeton Missouri, went to purchase our first large item from Menards, a washer & dryer. Actual purchase was pleasant enough, but the delivery is straight out of ***.

Missed a day of work to be home for the scheduled delivery of our special order washer & dryer. At 4:00 PM, and after many calls to the "Shipping Coordinator", still no delivery. Another call confirmed the items were on the truck and would be at our home "in a matter of minutes". 8:30 roll around, and many more calls were made.

FINALLY a salesperson in appliances informs us the dryer had a dent in it, and they would not be shipping to us. What?? Where was this mystery "matter of minutes" delivery? Why, after the dryer had been at their store for a total of 2 weeks, did they discover this dent??

Why not upon receipt of the item did they none inspect it? Why was I blatantly LIED to about the delivery? Menards, unfortunately falls into the same sad category as Home Depot & Lowes- customers really don't matter.

Menards, poor effort. Really sad that the consumer loses every time.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Menards Cons: If i want some thing delivered, It is not there.

To inspect it they would have to take it out of the box which would help prevent damage for the 2 weeks you let it sit at the store. They didn't remove the box until it was ready to be delivered and have the cord attached.

Unfortunately deliveries don't always go as planned. The deliveries before yours may have taken longer than expected and caused delays in the pick up of your appliances.
