Menards - Defective carpet
I bought some pad attached carpet. Rolled it out and rough cut to fit room.
It laid there 4 days. It had waves in it and absolutely would not lay flat. Worked on it for days. Contacted customer service.
they gave me solutions for an area rug. Told them it was carpet, not a rug. Tey then said to return it for refund or exchange. Took it back and re-ordered carpet.
Had several pros look at it and both agreed carpet came from the end of a roll.
At Menards, they said no guarantee the re-order would not have similar problems. Quickly learned my time, expense and frustration meant squat.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $260.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.
Menards Cons: Unhappy with ddefective product resolution.
Location: 533 Market Dr, Forsyth, IL 62535, USA

Did you use a carpet stretcher when you installed it? No?
Then why did you even think you could install carpet in the first place? Maybe hire someone that knows what the f they are doing next time and quit blaming Menard's for your stupidity.
I did not use a stretcher. MENARDS said the carpet would only stand a light stretch or it would tear the pad.
the carpet needed more than a light stretch. FYI - I have laid this type carpet before with no problems.
Boy oh boy Anonymous, you must know everything, or be a Menards employee. End of roll carpet will have the issues described.
You are a fool! Screw your opinion, and your feelings. Get back to your shift at Menards, ***
What do you want them to do? The offered to give you a refund or re-order the carpet.
Carpet is shipped on the mill on a roll.
They aren't going to make it in your home so you can lay it straight off the machine. Don't know where you think you can get anything different than carpet that comes rolled unless you but the little squares you put down like tile.
