Menards - Charge processing fee even if you cancel the order
5 comments
We cancelled our order, and were refunded for the item, but were still charged the processing fee. We will no longer order anything on-line from Menards. Love the store and want to keep them in business, but do not want to pay processing fees--especially for items that are cancelled or returned.
Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Menards is a self service brick and mortar store. They put the products on a shelf for you to purchase and take through a register.
If you want an employee to go around the store and pick your order, they charge you for that. You are lucky they didn't deduct another processing charge when you canceled the order for someone to go put the product back.
Itโs not their fault that you cancelled the order. They still have to pay the individual that pulled the item off the shelf and put it back to the shelf after you canceled the order.so what is the problem with them not giviving the processing fee back? Why you feel so entitled that your exempt?
The customer has to pay a surcharge for an employee to perform work while on the clock???? I suppose next time I purchase a pallet of mulch from menards I will pay a forklift operator fee too.
It cost them money so its gonna *** cost you. That's how the service industry works *** If stores didnt charge you then they couldn't have a building or people to help you.
Having stores provide staff to help customers is a optional luxury??? Last time I was at Menards the salesman was too busy flirting with a coworker half his age and checking out her partially exposed "equipment" despite 4 separate customers waiting at the service desk.
Also when I was at Walmart over the weekend there was one cashier open with 10 customers becoming agitated waiting forever, while 5 employees in vests loitered by a closed register talking about sports and weather. I guess in your mind I'm suppose to pay a fee for store employees to preform their primary jobs
