Still not resolved. Menards refuse to admit their mistake and keep coming with different bogus reasons for admitting any responsibility.
Filed a complaint with BBB which was ignored. I have now filed a complaint with the state of Wisconsin.

I bought a metal shed, told I needed a base kit. Special order guy orders a vinyl base and it turns out to be my fault.
They refunded the cost of the vinyl base, but will do nothing about the extra costs incurred by me as a result of their error.
The guest services manager told me they are a self service store and not liable for any costs incurred by a customer if an error is made. They say this knowing tha tI used their special order desk, where there is NO self service.
Product or Service Mentioned: Menards Customer Care.

Preferred solution: Full refund.
