Yes, there may be 3 in other stores but they would be displays in who knows what condition. By the time it got shipped through their warehouses and to your store the chances of being in a condition you would want are slim.

You are better off taking the refund and purchasing the couch at a furniture store rather that buy from a store that carries furniture as a fill in for a few months a year. If you take a good look at the invoice you paid for the couch on you will see that it says to take your purchase with you and it may not be there if you pick it up later, and they mean that.

Seasonal merchandise always goes on sale at the end of the season. If you wanted a clearance price you should have waited rather than making your purchase before Halloween so you could enjoy them before Halloween was over. No store is going to give you a refund on purchases made on seasonal material to match clearance prices.

Atrocious Menards customer service!

I just purchased a brand new $1000 Criterion upright freezer from Menards in Terre Haute, IN. The freezer motor is making an extremely loud humming noise. I called Menards in Terre Haute, IN where I bought it. I asked for a phone number to the company who makes them. They informed they have no number for them! I asked for a phone number to a tech line where I could talk to someone. They said there is no number available!! They said bring it back in and theyll replace it. I questioned what would I do with all the food in it - no answer! I said I would have to hire someone with a truck to return it - no response. They said I would have to pay a delivery charge of $100+ to deliver the replacement. This is the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced in my 72 years of life. Absolutely stay away from purchasing any appliances from Menards Terre Haute, IN north store.

User's recommendation: Do NOT purchase any appliance from Menards Terre Haute north store!

It pays to check a product out before you make a purchase. When you buy a store branded product made in China don't expect to find a support network in place.

Be glad it failed under warranty and you can return it. If possible replace it with a name brand appliance.

Once the warranty is gone your chances of finding someone to repair it may be difficult to find. There is a reason you can purchase these appliances for a lower price than a name brand appliance.

They are offering you an exchange in the appliance. Did you pay for a delivery for your original purchase?

My guess is no.

You are not going to find an company that sell appliances who will pay for or replace your food with the loss of an appliance. That’s what home owners insurance is for.

Come over here and I'll show you my receipt for the poor delivery service I received where they left it at door step and I had to have my grandson and neighbor muscle it into the house.

That way mr delivery man could avoid unboxing, carrying over the threshold and 3 steps, and avoid testing in which the item failed. " With homeowners having a $500 or $1000 deductible unless you have a pallet of top shelf lobster and steak in the freezer than no one is going file an insurance claim for food loss below their deductible. Do you really think a salesperson at Menards is going to say that the imported store brand is a piece of junk? The salespeople are told to push the store brand products and are at times incentivized to do so as the company makes a much higher profit margin on these items.

Why would you be glad it failed under warranty? If it failed a day after the warranty ran out you would get nothing and more than likely wouldn't be able to find anyone to repair it.

The truth about these products is just being pointed out. Keep buying store brand products if you like but realize you are taking a gamble on the quality when you do.

The salesman stated the Criterion was part of the Maytag / whirlpool merge and made to high quality standards, He compared the Criterion brand to Sears Kenmore brand which although was a house brand, was still made to the identical quality as the name brand and parts were interchangeable . If this salesman had the ethics of a used car salesman and just feeding me nonsense fluff just so I’d buy this lemon and he earns a commission, then perhaps he should be suspended for intentionally misleading me and who know how many others. If the sales pitch to mislead and misrepresent toe public came from menards corporate than perhaps a recall on these items and prosecution is in order.

These private label appliances are manufactured by a number of companies. Look at the tag inside the freezer and see where it was made.

If it was made in China, as a lot of the Criterion appliances are, it probably wasn't made by Whirlpool as most of their products are made in the US or Mexico.

I was surprised to see the big yellow warning stickers on the sides of chest freezers in Menards warning that the refrigerant used in them was explosive in case of fire. Just one more thing firefighters shouldn't have to be worried about if your house should catch on fire.

Did not sell me price that was clearly marked on cabinet

I went to go pickup cabinet at store which was priced at $128.99 , when employee helped me I asked to make sure of price he quoted me $159.00 , then a lady employee approached me an said product was $159.00 Period , I asked for manager , she said she was the Manager very rudely , I said I will take my business elsewhere and she never even cared , so I needed the product an bought it , later on during my shopping I went back over to shelve , the price had been changed to $159.00

How many times are you going to post this complaint? The original tag was possibly an expired sale tag that had an expiration date on it, or the tag has another cabinet size on it.

You must have thought the price was wrong as you say you asked the employee to make sure of the price.

You were given the correct price which is what the store has the right to charge. Seems odd that you are making such a big deal out of a price you questioned in the first place.

Bad product from their subsidiary

Purchased a complete lumber package which included trusses for our house. After the installation of the trusses we found the gusset plates were installed incorrectly or missing in locations. They gave us engineered repairs but wouldn't reimburse us for the labor cost.

Typical Menards response. You can often by trusses from a local truss supplier at a comparable price with much faster delivery. If you have a problem with a truss from a local supplier the truss is often replaced within a day or two.

They do this as they would much rather have you come shop in their stores than placing orders on line. When you shop online you don't get sucked into making impulse purchases like you do in the stores.

Why do you think they have so much candy, snacks and low priced high margin items surrounding their cash registers. Order processing fees and high shipping charges help make up for the profits they loose on your impulse purchases in their stores.

Stores have the right to charge the correct price for the products they are selling. I'll bet you wouldn't have said a word if the price came up lower. You can't have it both ways.

Hi bought a dryer at Ionia Mi Menards I bought a dryer for 629.00 and when we got home witch I live 20 miles away from Menards we opened box and it was the wrong dryer. It was a dryer for 549.00 I called the Ionia store and they said I could bring the wrong one back...

It cleared the register because giving you an item of significantly less value than what you had paid for just meant additional money for John menards. Now if it was the opposite and the staffing gave you an item of greater value than what you paid you then you would either be locked in the menards security room with mr rent a cop, or have police at your front door when you got home.

Non functioning whirlpool product

Purchased a brand new whirlpool stove and oven does not work. I have had to make 3 calls to whirlpool and still no results. Keep getting g told "we're sorry" we appologize. Well that doesn't get my oven fixed.

You fail to say if the oven didn't work from day one or if it stopped working. If it didn't work from day one you should have returned it immediately as a product with initial failure.

If it hasn't worked from day one, confirm that the power cord was installed properly. Otherwise you are at the mercy of the pandemic and the labor and parts shortages are everywhere.

Rebate

Bought 8300.00 if materials for fencing s deck..Sent in rebate back in June still have not received it. They tell me to go online to track it, but it says nothing showing. Honestly that's one reason I went there is because we are doing a lot of remodeling inside and out, thought that would belp out a little with things. Reconsidering that decision.

Master craft door hinges machined in wrong spot menards device manager said sorry we get some bad ones, I first pulled door of not expecting a bad product, and set up to paint door and frame, went from a 32" to a 36" reframed new header, installed new frame and hung door set up for hardware and found frame latch and door hardware were half inch off, retired carpenter have the skills, so I filled the door hinge beads and remachined to raise door ,because they said oh just bring it back we will exchange lol *** ,so inspect your products sence they don't take the time to do so ,while they are getting paid, lazy uncaring employees.
