Sold faulty/returned product

I went to get a new thermostat and picked up one I thought I would like. Took it home and hooked it up. It was missing the mounting pieces and stickers which I didn't think too hard on. Once hooked up I found that it was turning on my heater when I wanted the AC to kick on. I checked and double checked, and eventually called a HVAC person to come since i thought I did it wrong. I paid $80 for him to tell me I was sold a faulty product. I went back and swapped it out (the customer service rep look skeptical at my explanation). The one I picked up to replace it was still wrapped in plastic (which I didn't realize with the first one). Got home with it and realized they had put a bad product back on the shelf that had already been used. I wasted an hour of time going back to swap it out, 2 hours getting a diagnosis that it was the fault of Menards, and $100 to get such an easily avoidable result. I'd have been better off waiting a day for amazon to deliver it since it wasn't functional for a whole day while I waited for the appointment.

Why do you think posting on a complaint site not related to Menards will change where your order is shipped to? You should try contacting Menards but I doubt you will be in time to make a change.

Outdoor clock stopped working

Warranty issue with an outdoor clock. Menard resolved the issue very quickly. I am very pleased with them

Rental problems

Rented a floor sander from the Menards Ann Arbor Store. When I picked it up it still had sanding disks on the unit from the previous use. According to staff at another store, that is a sign it was incorrectly checked in from previous use. upon getting the equipment to the job site, the sander would not hold a sanding disk on one of the pads. When returning the unit to Menards, the staff accused me of causing the damage to the pad and ended up charging a cleaning fee on a piece of equipment that wouldn't work and did not get used.

User's recommendation: go to a real rental company where staff understand the function of the equipment.

Horrible service

The number they give is for the tgevmenards credit card Im calling to complain about horrible service in the store and you give out this like email that goes to no one

Hello my name is Andrew Scholtz. My wallet was stolen 8/13 and it had my menards gift card that had $796.34 left on it as of 11/12/21. I called the Wichita east location 8/13 but they didnt know how to help me. I went in 8/14 as they opened to talk with the store manager and was told to contact someone here. My original receipt for gift card was transferring a check #120**** (written for Hannah and Andrew Scholtz) for the amount of $2,000. It was on 11/07/2021 at 1:04pm. The numbers on the receipt, I believe for the transaction, are 196** ** ****. Is there a way to cancel the gift card with last four numbers being 1000 and transferring to a new gift card? I was greatly appreciate that. My phone number is 131******** if you have anymore questions.

Can't say that I've heard of "customer care" at Menards. Call the store where you placed the order and select the option for doors, windows or millwork.

They should be able to tell you if your door has arrived yet.

The door may have shipped from Larson within a couple of days but if it is shipped to a Menards warehouse it may actually be transferred between 2 warehouses before being put on a truck headed to the store eating up another week or two. If it isn't in yet talk to the department manager and see if they can track the door for you.

Mailed rebate never received

I never received my rebate or a response from menards. Please give me a call at 614462**** regarding a rebate that I'm waiting on for $251 that has never been received.

Don't count on Menards calling you. Have you tried tracking your rebate on their web site?

It it has been mailed you may well have thrown it away thinking it was junk mail. The credit comes in a folded postcard with advertising on the back.

Rebate

A couple months ago we filled out a rebate and shouldve been getting back close to 800 dollars and we sent it in and still nothing has been sent to us weve called and they cant seem to even track it t so idk if the mail lost it but thats a huge amount we are not letting it go!

I’m trying to cancel an order.

I order blinds inside the store, but I was unaware that I was getting charged $90 for a shipment. Not one person in Fort Meade of that charge.

Your order would have been printed on an invoice which would have showed the charge. Didn't you look at it?

Posting on an independent complaint sight won't get your order canceled. You would have to contact the store where you place the order and see if they can contact the vendor to see if they can cancel the order.

If it's too late for the vendor to cancel the order you are out of luck. In the future carefully read the order before signing it and paying for it.

I don't receive my rebate money yet

I believe my rebates were stolen. I understand they were mailed out on sept 24th. Inwas in vacation and stopped my mail I picked it up on Oct 4th. There were no rebates. I had a couple of rebates with a total of about 37$

If you haven't received their rebates before they come in a tightly folded post card that looks like junk mail advertising that are easily tossed out with the trash if you don't look at them closely.

I don't receive my rebate money yet

I know the rebates were mailed. I checked. However, I was away and had my mail held at the post office. I know the rebates were mailed out sept 24th. I didn't return from my trip until Oct 2nd. I never received the rebates in my collected mail when l picked up my mail the 4th of Oct.
