Try taking your glasses off for a few minutes rather than lowering your mask. Stop and think of how many excuses people working in stores hear from people as to why they don't think they have to wear a mask properly.

You should be thankful that there are people willing to work in retail and risk their health by coming in contact with hundreds of people every day.

Do your part to protect them and wear a mask properly while shopping. No excuse is good enough to put the health of others at risk.

Rebate help

I sent in my rebate on dec.6th 2020 and online it still says no tracking of them at all I want to know when I can expect those rebates in the mail. I understand its behind but it's been almost 3 months.

Mine have been taking 3-4 months to get. I don't understand why they started the 11% rebate again while they are so far behind in processing their rebates.

Rebates are caught up to mid November. They didn't run any since the end of Nov until this week.

So they will only be caught up soon. As there should have been many mailed in most of Dec, Jan or feb

Pricing

Buyer beware! Menards came back with their 11percent discount , but little did people know they raised the then current pricing up and has a discount off of the raised pricing in which , there is no discount . Example doors I was looking at $543 last month now 617 with a 11 percent discount off 543 . Kinda putting it to customers arent ya?

Over the 10 months I worked at menards in 2020 they slowly but surely were raising prices to offset the 11% "savings". It's very typical for retail stores to play games with prices just like furniture stores raise prices then have a 3 week President's day sale, or how car dealers give you a "special today only price" from their manager.

Be a smart consumer and know prices before opening your wallet. It's not always the " save big money " folks who have the lowest price.

Stolen rebate ticket

Someone took our rebate ticket. We were told by our local store that it could be cancelled and a new one issued. Nothing has happened yet! No response! I was told that when you use a rebate card they are supposed to ask for your ID. Our Menards on Creasy Lane in Lafayette Indiana does not ask for ID.

Not satisfied

Paid full price for an upright freezer and only when I went to pick it up was I told it was the floor model. Menards reply to my complaint through your site was 'what do you mean by floor model'?

Floor model means one that's been on the sales floor for months being opened and closed hundreds of times, scratches and dents from being relocated multiple times, parts missing, no manual, kids trying to play hide and seek inside the freezer, probably plugged in the whole time, and possibility used for store use to store perishable merchandise. Do you think those reasons make you self entitled to a discount??????? As a menards employee the rule is take it at the price listed or leave it.

Customer service

We are in the process of some construction and we have twice been in menards in Rolla mo and twice have been treated rudely and disrespectfully! I do not understand this behavior ! I went to the girl at the counter by the screws and ask if she could see if there were any 3 1/2 inch deck screws I was missing . She acted as if I was bothering her and asked if I had a sku. I find this assish as I did not realize she would ask me for a number ??? She pointed to the runs on the bottoms and said well theres some tubs . (Really ) I said we had already looked through those and before I could say anything else she spun around and said ok well you have a good night and walked away .... Unreal This was 7:15 7:30 on Wednesday 2/24/2021 I have a lot more to buy and I do not intend to be treated this way every time I have to interact with someone !

When you call a grown woman a girl, which itself is rude, you are basically a hypocrite for calling her rude.. The GROWN WOMAN was not being rude.

She cannot help you without a sku. It is you who is acting like a child when you are calling a grown woman a girl.

Having worked at Menards I know their employees are trained to take their customers to the product they are looking for. If the employee failed to take a customer to the product they wanted, they weren't doing their job.

The customer isn't expected to know the sku.

The employee should have placed the screws in the customers cart and asked if they needed bits or even a drill. If there were no screws on the shelf overstock should have been checked and if they were out of stock a different color or head configuration could have been offered.

Expecting basic customer service at a store that boasts "their dedicated to service and quality" is certainly not out of line. If the employee did not know basic mounting hardware at the store, how much effort would it take her to escort you to someone with more experience and explain what you as the customer are looking for????

Instead she brushes off a customer so she can go back to leaning against the desk to socialize with coworkers or play on her phone. Apparently that's the new normal now in customer service since the millennial generation took over the helm.

Complaint about store

Muncie IN store witnessed a customer get cussed out and salespwrson Phoenix also slammed his register etc stuff on his counter continuing to use the *** word multiple times at the customer and management Connor stood by and did nothing. Entire store heard it. Customer said he was gonna spend $2k but didbt have a mask on stating due to medical reasons. Disturbing salesperson and manager reaction. I wont shop there or my husband now. We had masks. Hope the go out of business. Shop somewhere else

Perhaps the person that didn't feel the mask policy applied to them was also hard of hearing. They should have saved their breath and just booted the anti-masker right out the front door.

What percentage off were you asking for? My guess is that it was more than they were making on the water heater.

The box was obviously in good condition or you would have refused it.

It isn't their fault it was in rough shape nor that you live an hour away. It's unfortunate that you have to make the drive again, but they are doing the right thing in exchanging it for you.

With covid and the increased demand for shipping many things are running behind. It's never a good idea to book a contractor until you have the supplies readily available.

If you complain about the company in New Philadelphia, OH - their employees will find you on your social media and spam you- and online stalk you- and will even threaten you!

I suspect there is much more to this "online stalking" than is conveyed in this post. It's probably more of a situation where you called out a specific employee online, it got back to them, and now you're pulling the stalking card because they defended their position.

If an employee is intentionally rude, unmotivated, untrained etc, then the customer has the right to file a verbal concern with store management. If the store management ignores he customer's concern and walks away then the customer has the right to notify the public via online reviews and social media of the store staffing. It also appropriate for the customer to identify staff by the name on their name tag as well as general description of their appearance.

how do you consider stating the name of a store employee doxing when their name tag is in plain view of every customer who walks past them??? If a heavyset gray hair man named jerry walks away from a customer seeking assistance just so he can go out the back door to smoke the cigarette on company time than the customer has the right to complain. Just like if an employee named Steve ignores a customer seeking assistance just so he can flirt with significantly younger co workers than again the customer has the right to complain about the situation.

The only "fact" we have to go on is that OP has a complaint. Theres no telling how far OP pushed, or got pushed back. I find it hard to believe that a retail employee would get riled up enough to stalk a complainy customer unless there was something significant between the 2 of them.

Print out the evidence and discuss the situation in person with local law enforcement as well as an in person visit to local news stations. Then the local news station and / or law enforcement can confront store management in person at the store. I recommend these steps be done in person face to face in lieu of e mail or phone calls since it's much easier to delete an e mail then to ignore someone next to you holding printed documentation of employees harassing frustrated customers.

Package was not delivered to wrong address

My package was delivered through U.P.S the driver delivered my package to the wrong address and UPS not Menards are not refunding my money not my package WtfWtfWtfWtfWtfWtfWtfWtfWtfAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry I'm trying to take this matter further because I lost my money and didn't get my package

Shouldn't your complaint be with UPS? You claim their driver delivered it to the wrong address. Why do you expect Menards to reimburse you and not UPS?

As a former employee, with a relationship going back decades, I will attest that the vast majority of corporate correspondence with a guest is going to be written, and metered out- you're not getting 6 emails back and forth in one day. I will also say that in the 15 years I worked there, I can only recall one instance where the problem wasn't very quickly attributable to either the guest or the associate.

Where the big problems occur was usually when something wasn't right and the homeowner just went ahead and tried forcing a square peg into a round hole. Yes, the employee sold the square peg, but if the instructions call for round peg, why are you pulling out a hammer and surprised when it doesn't work?

Poor customer service response

My friend of 78 years frequented the Menards in NE 90th street in Kansas City. He was rudely treated my the store management Jared and Justin . In several attempts to have his complaint heard by customer service, he has yet to receive a phone call or satisfactory response or resolution . Very sad that no one has responded to our many attempts in a forthright manner.

Went in to buy1/4 inch plywood was given 2 options even though I knew there was less expensive sheets. Had to buy 18 sheets at $22.00 a board when they have 131 1/4 inch in stock for $14.50. They will not do anything about it unless we bring back the 18 which we had to borrow a truck to hall it home in the first place. I am very upset by the poor customer service we received since we just spent $1500.00 on flooring.

Did you get the $22.00 a sheet plywood? If so, why would they offer to refund you it for a lower priced item? It sounds like if you want the less expensive plywood you would need to return the other and get the correct product.
