Sunday was the last time I will go to Menard's. My husband and I are 35 year home re modelers. with 4 adult children we have taught. Lowe's and Home Depot both have electric mobility. Two years ago I fractured my femur and can only walk a block. But have...

What would happen if you crashed into an end cap or aisle and merchandise fell on you? Your fault.

What did people ever do before "electric carts"? They used a wheel chair or had freinds to help them. I'm guessing the freinds thing is an issue for you. The ADA states resonable accomidations for disabled shoppers.

Having wheel chairs and offering to help you shop is very reasonable.

Let it go. Dont crash.

Menards in Eau Claire, Wisconsin - Awesome customer Service..

I have gone to Menard's at least five times in the last three weeks, two different stores... The service help there is one of the tops in the industry.. three times they walked me to the correct location, even from the other side of the store!! I have used their rebate program... and love it... I get a merchandise check back in a week.. I used to go to Home Depot... but when I waited 35 minutes for someone to help me... I gave up... this has happened mor than once... I will continue to use Menards... Happy in Minnesota..

Are you an employee lookng for a raise or are you on something. Sure they will help you at Menards, facts are that most of the people I have dealt with really have no idea what they are talking about or try to fuddle through by reading the box or package right in front of you.

Pathetic, a home improvement store should train there employees in

HOME IMPROVEMENT. For example, I wanted to paint my walls however, I had to remove the wallpaper first. The man Named Joe in the paint department said as long as the wallpaper isn't tore or peeling I COULD JUST PAINT OVER IT.....WRONG!!!!! Not only was the paint not covering the wallpaper print the next morning the wallpaper had bubbled and I had twice the mess that I would have had I did it by taking the wallpaper off first.

When I called I was told that is why it is much better to do things the right way the first time instead of cutting corners... Just sick I tell you....

Menards in Seeley Lake, Montana - Selling defective products

I bought a 800watt generator and it didnt work. I took it back and exchanged it for another one. I got that one home and it didnt work either. Menards should not be selling defective products. All they could tell us was to get our money back and buy a different one from them. We got our money back but didnt get a different one. After making 2 trips there and back, they should have offered to sell us a better one for the same price. Beware:: dont buy generators from menards. They should check their products and the place where they get them from.

They exchanged it for you and gave you your money back. WOW.

Sounds pretty fair to me. What do you want at this point? Did you know these are tested before they are shipped?

What did or didn't you do to make them not work? Let it go.

A good generator will cost a bit. We've seen many people who say they can pick one up at Meijers or one of these giant hardware stores for cheap, well that's just what they'll get a cheap generator.

Go on Mr. contractor buy equipment for you're business in the same store you're wife buys her feminine products & flowers. If you're a contractor or just a homeowner/handyman buy a good generator ,chances are the more it costs the better it is .

A large percentage of returns of "defective" gas powerd products are the result of using stale gas that has been sitting in the garage since last year. Pretty good chance this is the problem.

#57924

I believe that we are only getting part of the story. Odds are in favor that they didn't read the owner's manual, and didn't add oil and it seized. The chance of receiving 2 defective items is slim, not impossible, but slim.

Anonymous
#57829

or maybe just avoid buying the *** version of the generator altogether? you get what you pay for. if you want a good one, get ready to take out your wallet.

welcome to the real world, sally.

Menards Credit Card Payment

It is 6:26 Friday evening May 8th. I just payed my Menards credit card bill. I will be accessed the $29 late fee for paying my bill late - even though it is not due until May 10. That is a rip-off! What other card does this? Do they shut the computer system off on weekends? Maybe that is why they are 2 days behind.

Went to Menard's to pay my credit card bill...they had closed the location and left no info on former site where there new location was. Went home, looked up new location, and drove 1/2 hour looking for new site---could be seen from highway but no signage!!

FINALLY found access road to store, and store wouldn't accept a debit card for payment...said I would have to look for a tyme machine. Went home without purchasing the items I had on my list, called in a phone payment at no charge, and ripped up my Menard's card when I finished.

Will no longer do business with this outfit. They are not customer friendly.

Probably not a problem!! Call Menards and tell them of the problem.

They don't want to lose customers, unless you are cronically late with your payments they will probably remove the late fee. You just have to talk to people. I've never had a problem with Menards, they've always listened to my problems and understood. When you first call them you will get a representative who can only do so much for you.

If he/she can't resolve it, ask to speak with the manager, the manager can totally remove your late fee.

They have for me, more than once. Be nice to them, coming on like a gang buster will only hurt your situation. Like, who wants to help a person who is screaming at you?

You children out there, LEARN HOW TO TYPE, read it before you hit 'send'.

If you can't, how can we? Grow up, stop your bullying. Retard, your problem, ***, incompetent??

Give me a break!! You name callers need to get a better handle on your egoes.

Wow! Some of you are really bad!

The world must revolve around hate! Please vomit more negativity all over. The point of doing the online paymts. is so you can do it the same day.

Please, we paid cash for everything in the past and it hurt our credit. You never got a car loan or student loan. Wait your parents paid for all that for you. People America will fall even faster if we can't start being alot happier and stop slamming a person every second of the day.

It leads me to believe you have a bad life and have to take it out on someone.

The person above could have a helth issue and only be able to shop online. Smile and clean up all that vomit!

I pay my bill the day I charge at Menards. I paid the day I got the statement via my bank.

It took over 20 days to reach HSBC.

They charged the late fee because the great post office took so long to deliver. So I won't chance that again....

I just have to ask if you have a checking or savings account at a bank? Most, not all, banks are open only for convenience on Saturday's and closed on Sunday.

All of Friday's business after 4 P.M. and all of Saturday's business is posted on Monday. HSBC is a BANK!

Please be more responsible with your payments. It is no wonder that the entire USA is in an economic crisis!

A consumer has every right to be able to pay their bill on the date it is due without being charged a "same day processing fee." This fee is fictitious in the sense that it does not take any additional effort, manpower, or expense in any way, shape or form to process a payment on the same day. If your payment is due 5/10, then you should have access either via phone, internet or in-store to make this payment without a servicing fee.

Unfortunately, most Menard's locations do not process in-store payments. Those that do do not credit you on the same day. Many argue that Menard's is not at fault, rather it is HSBC that is the culprit and Menard's should not be liable. Actually, Menard's is fully liable, as they have entered a contractual, binding business agreement with HSBC to handle financing on their behalf, and act as their agent for their consumers.

I am sorry that you have had such an unpleasant, unethical business experience. However, as a legal consultant, I assure you that you have consumer rights that cannot be challenged in the scenario listed above.

You simply need to take steps to challenge it. Consumer law is on your side.

Menards in Chicago, Illinois - Totally ignored at return desk in Washington, Ill.

I went to the return desk in Washington, Ill. I waited while clerk talked to a guy on personal level. He looked around and saw me and excused himself and moved over. I stepped up and she said, pointing to her terminal, "I'm on here." She continued her conversation with the guy. I waited another 4 to 5 min. and walked out. I called the front end supervisor and told him. He said he saw me walk out as he was coming to the desk. I told him that I was going to purches a total of 5 doors in the near future and with their indifferent attitude, I could get them at 5 other area stores. He said "Okay" "That's good."

Menards Website Sx

I was just on the Menards website. I was so frustrated at not being able to find anything, I did a search about Menards'site, and found this site. Wow! I've never seen a worse site. It's actually worse than if they never had a site. While other companies are going out of their way to create a user-friendly site, Menards is actually an anti-shopper site. The only thing that comes to mind when thinking of my experience with Menards website is, grrr...(I need to write a minimum on one hundred words before this comment will be posted. I think I've reach the minimum. thx!)

Believe me, I've had a couple of the old timers get nasty with me about giving out their SS#'s also. I had the pleasure to be in Front End doing my MT work during Black Friday season a while back.

It sounds like I'm sick in the head, but I actually did have fun up there.

I think my favorite to date has been a 80+ year old gentleman special ordering some a couple gallons of Rustoleum paint to spray down some old fence posts. He, of course, had to thin it and didn't want to. We gave him the solution of how to thin it (what to use) and he didn't believe me, so I called Rustoleum to see if I was crazy or not...

oh no, they gave the same instructions I did. His response was, and I quote, "What does Rustoleum know about paint?" :grin
