Menards Credit Sticking it to Consumers

Looking to do basement remodel and ready to spend a substantial amount of money. I like the quality of Menards lumber and was hoping that under these difficult times Menards was running a home improvement incentive of 0% for one year or low interest rate by the financial institutions that received our Stimulus dollars. After wasting the time on the Menards web page filling out info necessary in order to see the credit terms only to find out that you will be raked over the coals with a 24.9% interest rate. Nice way to thank loyal customers during difficult times. Signed, Disappointed

Menards loves your money. That is also why they give 'REBATE cards' that can only be used for other merchandise.

They want your money any way they can get it. I only buy sale merchandise or something I need that other places don't carry.

i cant believe people are still writing on this *** i did write a complaint but i have moved on *** i shop elsewhere and am doing fine in fact i have opened my own retail store and have had no problems so lkife goes on. i remain the same feeling that i was not treated as a valued customer and all should be treated as such. if they had taken a small amount of time there would not have been a problem but they were too busy. again no big deal i have moved on they are doing well without my money and all parties have survived. menards is too big of a company to worry about a small customer like me...oh yeah i did just build a new two story house complete with three car garage, they are right they dont need me as a customer.

Our economy is becoming more, and more service based. Sadly, finding good service can be a problem.

that does'nt care about providing good service, is'nt going to care if you boycot the store.

(If this worked, and the store went bust, he might get a job at your new shopping venue... lol)

It's better to talk to a manager, or higher, if your having service issues.

pure frustration, when you cant get anyone to listen what else do you do? my issue isn't resolved and short of going to the ups depot and punching someones lights out what else is there? why should these companies think they can treat people so badly.

I agree with Retail Employee. Guest are very rude.

It is all about them. If your helping someone else they can't wait until your done. I work at Menards and a lot of guest are rude. They don't have patients.

A lot of time is people ask me where something is and I don't know they get made and leave. They can't wait for me to radio the department to find out for them. Menards is a big store.

You can't know what every item is and where it is located. If you don't know where an item is in your department then I can understand a guest to be made.

America does not have an official language, that's why there are American broadcasted news stations in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and many more languages. Also, people in European countries don't get pissed about the English commercials they constantly get...so why should you care about Spanish commercial... Wow there are some real *** responding on here. The guy is not looking for Menards to Ship the item ***.

He is looking for what items are available at the store. Plus those items do not fluctuate in cost on a daily basis. My Goodness I hate mean people but I hate mean *** people even more.

I agree with you sir. I would not purchase the water heater either since they were too lazy to list it on their site.

Don't care for the new contract that came out in 03' (2011 today) but. If you signed it you agree to it!

The contract is NOT cut and dry like another poster said. It is biast and favors menards in the specific details but mostly it is vague at best leaving most details under a grey area. I have been hauling for menards since 01' or 02'? Yes, there have been issues on many occasions but you have to pick your battles.

Just pick up or deliver for free once in a while when you are already there and when you are having issues menards store manager will remember and go to bat for you. I work 110+ hours a week if I have to and my store is awesome, the management is understanding, grateful, helpful, etc. But your not going to see that if you constantly whine and always take without giving back. Not trying to spark an argument but rather help on the basis of advice.

I've seen dozen"s" of hauled come and go. As far as customers go, well.... they constantly whine and want everything for free. They spend $500 one day and think they should get special treatment.

Well haulers, they are the reason we have a job.

As hard as it may be sometime, smile and do your best to satisfy them. The rewards outweigh the costs.
