It has been an on going nightmare for more than a year. The product was purchased from Menard's in Long Grove. It was installed by professional installers both times and both times failed. It has a "LifeTime Warranty" for residential use. Not so, it seems. First time...

Menards rebate tease offer scam. Be careful when buying and figuring in the rebate. In many cases the deadlines are so soon that if you miss a date they keep the money. The offers are so good that they become a much better value than Lowes. Then if you miss the rebate...

Its amazing how some of the lab rats here and they know who they are,are so willing to justify their stupidity as not to agree with stopping the scam. There will always be idiots that will fight against anything that will improve the system for all shoppers. I just look at them as the sheep that will follow the wolf.

Menards in Reston, Virginia - First chainsaw-junk, second one also junk

I bought a Wen chainsaw. It leaked oil profusely. I had to take it to service place at my time and expense. Finally got it exchanged. Second saw automatic oiler didn't work. Another 40 mile round trip and 2 hours to get my money back after taking it to service place. When Menards says "Quality and Service," they mean *** poor quality and you do the service. This Menards is On Alpine Avenue in Walker Michigan. The manager was rude saying if I filed a complaint it would anger him. Well I was quite angry myself. Another incident I had was when I ordered a sliding door from them. After 8 weeks I check. Not in yet I was told. After another 4 weeks, I checked and they said the door didn't actually get ordered. Menards, a good place to buy peanuts. That's it.

Who makes a ""Wen"" chainsaw? I never heard of that brand.

I'll bet it is made in China. Odd - Americans continue to buy items made in China when they are almost always of lower quality.

Are we really, "Saving Big Money?" The product is poor and the money goes overseas. We are our own worst enemies.

You took the purest thing in your life and corrupted it, for what? For what?

so you did get to return the chainsaw? and i'm sure signs were up with return policy for any gas items bought, maybe you can't read?

as for the door, did you pay for it the first time?

if YOU don't take your order to the register to pay for it it won't get ordered. maybe you can't hear either.

I obviously will take this post seriously. It is evident that you are mature individual that has specific information how the door failed due to no outside reasons. Good job at making yourself look credible.

Menards in Madison, Wisconsin - To much time

I live in Madison WI and shop at Menards as well as other big name supply warehouses. I got in line right after a person was being checked out by the cashier. After scanning all the items it took 10 min. after for your computers to give the cash register and clerk a total clearence and print-out of the receipt so he could leave with his few items. I looked around and all the cashiers were being held up by your slow computer cash registers. Cashiers are just doing their jobs but I noticed alot of frustrated waiting customers inwhich the cashier has to deal with this with NO fault to them. Your network computers for the cash registers are going to cost Menards alot of money in lost sales if a customer KNOWS they can go somewhere else and get in and out alot faster at the cash register. -50 yr. old skilled trademan

Menards in Madison, Wisconsin - Put things on sale and dont have invnetory to cover sales

I have spent thousands with Menards the last three years, went for a "Sale" item they were out of stock with no rain check. They started out with only 5 items and when I went there to purchase one the sales girl said and I quote -- "Oh !! sombody came in the first day and bought all 5 and we will not be getting more in before the sale is over. Then she sugested we go to another Menards that is 55 miles away. I am pissed for sure and will take my future business to Home Depot unless my request is taken care of.

So in the last 3 years Menards has been in-stock for all of your sale items? I think that's pretty good.

If there was no rain check then the ad must have stated WHIlE SUPPLIES LAST. That means if they run out they won't be getting anymore. How do you know they started with only 5? Perhaps someone bought 100 of them the day before when they weren't on sale.

Also, did you try to buy it on the last day of the sale? Anything could have happened and again once in 3 years is pretty good in my book

I could see if they don't furnish paper towels, but the hand driers they have are awful. This person has a legit complaint.

I work there and many many times I wouldn't wash my hands because it takes soooo long with those hand driers.

And when you work up front and its cold, you don't want wet hands. They really should get better hand driers, but Dennis Dixon and Marty are way too cheap to approve them.

Fyi, there are approximately. 1.9 million Different items with 1.9 million different skU #S in a menards store. Do you think you could memorize every single product? It is unfortunate that they don't allow you to return every used and abused piece of *** you could say you purchased from them with no questions asked.

They are in the business of making money.

Do not put the ladies down either, some of the most knowledgeable and hard working people I have worked with at menards were women.
