Menards in Chicago, Illinois - Got no help after talking to manager not comming back

bought 200 ft of chain link fince, 100 ft at time, the second time I told the building dept. alot of the china was defective he sent ayoung man with me that new nothing and did not help. I went back to the that depy. manger and asked for help he did not. I went to truck and made a list the first time they made my order on the computer in 5 min. 2 1/2 or 3 hours has passes. payed for order and went to get loaded forklift operator loaded me 1/2 way, left to load a young gril WILL NOT BE BACK

thank you for appreciating how hard people work during that time period - it is done to please everyone and believe me, retail workers are underappreciated. It is true that we would not have a job if it weren't for buyers, but in turn you wouldn't be able to buy if we did not put it on the shelf, and help you make buying decisions!

SEent in for rebate with Menards receipt and did not receive anything back.

We purchased 65 of the 2x4 ceiling tiles and sent in for the rebate with the form filed out and Menards receipt. Have not heard One word nor received the #2.00 per tile rebate for 64 only of the tiles. We are doing a bedroom for two little girls and need to spend as little as possible so they may have a place to sleep... Ploease respond to us.....We intended to purchase the support hardware from the rebate coupon so the job can get finished. We purchased this at the Michigan City, In store and have purchased many items there over time. I also have a Big Card. I may cut this up and never go to Menards again if I dont get my rebate. Please hurry.

most people dont realize that once you mail in your rebate info its not menards problem any more, menards sponcered rebates are handeled by rebates international were they are recieved and processed, if you do not reciever your rebate it is them you should be upset with not menards, and if menards has no proof you did not get your rebate how can they help you? Also threatining to cut up your card is not going to hurt any retailers feelings sorry to say

I buy a lot of items are Menard's that are rebated items. I have yet to have a problem with them.

At times they may be a little slow in getting it back to me, (8 weeks ) at times but I always get it. Just curious if ya filled it out properly and sent in the rebate receipt along with the rebate care with your name,address etc on it.

Do you really think posting a complaint on this site will get your rebate sent to you? You would have a lot better luck finding the status of your rebate if you followed the directions on your rebate form and contacted rebates international.

Melrose park il menards,no one will ever help you and they are all rude

this place sucks there is never any one around to help you. you walk past employees and they pretend that you are not there.Alot of the items are defective and the managers are rude jerks.I had asked for help one once and was rudely told by an employee to wait not verbally but with a finger the employee was on a personal phone call and making plans to go out that night with what sounded like his girlfriend. another time i had call ed and was hung up on twice by the same person,not disconnected but hung up on,I know this because I could tell that the phone was slammed down.Bottom line this is the worst place that I have ever shopped at period.

justyouwait, 1)there are times where you walk past employee's and they dont say anything. don't get me wrong i agree but let the guest know that you will help them in a min if the employee was with another guest or busy with something.

2) holding the finger up to a guest to show their busy, thats just rude. 3)if the employee is wearing a uniform and walking around the store, expect to get stopped. if you don't want to get stop then take it off. who knows if this certain employee was on the work phone or even a cell.

who knows. people just need some patiences and be more polite both guest and employee's

So let me get this straight, there isn't anyone around yet you walk past employees all the time? And you've only asked for help once?

It seems that the problem here is you. If you need help, then ask for it. Believe it or not, you are not the only customer in the store. Chances are, the employees who are supposedly ignoring you are busy doing something else. Just because they are not assisting you does not mean they are not working.

Menards in Washington, District Of Columbia - Trim Strip nightmare

I bought seven Jeldwen window at a Lowes store in Iowa. The Lowes people went to bat as far as customer service. They installed the window correct ,but had no exterior window trim. They called Jeldwen numerous times ,but no trim. It took 3 months for this part. Jeldwen rep miss read the part number and won't own up to there mistake. They even charge Lowes for this part it Jeldwen fault own up to there mistake. The Jelwen rep when Lowes talk to them was a *** and unperfessional. Do your home work on your windows and doors folks ?

Menards in Richmond, Indiana - Poor Quality with no customer service

After purchasing almost $5,000.00 in siding I get no response from Menards customer service. We bought per painted siding from menards because they said it was superior to certainteed siding. What a joke, it was of the poorest quality with over 50% of the siding not being covered with paint or unusable. I contacted the store with no action, I contacted the customer service department with not action. I will not buy anything from these crooks ever again. It has been over two months and after leaving voice mails and sending in the documents they requested still not a single word form this company.

Also keep in mind that all companies have what's called "policies" that they have to follow. Maybe part of their policy is that you have to deal with the manufacturer.

Don't always point the blame on the store. They have nothing to do with how it's manufactured.

I wouldn't call them crooks. I've had a problem with a door before, and I brought it in the next day, got an apology and a new door.

It's a business, they aren't going to give hand outs every time product that they don't make themselves is defective. You should go in and ask to speak to the store manager and bring in your receipt or invoice if you aren't being called back.

It's better to have face-to-face contact. There's not a whole lot to be done over the phone.

Menards in Grand Rapids, Minnesota - Did not reimburse for their mistake.

We purchased a 12'x10'x24' round top car port. A friend bought it in Oakdale and hauled it up to Eveleth for me. We went to check it and found that the hardware was missing. So we called Oakdale and they had us go to West Duluth as Hermantown would not help us. We got the hardware and was asked if we got one or two boxes. We said we only had one box. Instead of giving us the second box he just gave us the hardware. So we got home and had to call back and say we only had box 1 of 2. So another trip to west Duluth to get the rest of the stuff we needed. We got home and we had 3 too many of one pipe and 3 too few of another. So we made the third trip to Duluth. It is 70 miles one way from my house. Now they will not reimburse me for gas or hassles.

Why didn't you buy it at the store closest to you in the first place? Then you go in and say you are missing the hardware and they gave you what you asked for and when you went back asking for more they gave it to you.

It's not their fault you live so far away and you didn't tell them everything you were short in the first place. Your not telling them everything you were short the first time just goes to prove that humans make mistakes, just as there was a mistake in your not getting 2 boxes on the first trip.

You were made whole and have the complete car port. Be happy that they took care of you at a store closer to you than having you drive back to the cities to pick it up.
