Menards in Madison, Wisconsin - Credit freeze in front of customers

I was a long term customer of MENARDS , but no more ! last fall I made a $25 purchase only to be told my credit card was no good issued by MENARDS yet I was told I also had $500 available credit , I always paid on time , but MENARDS had not recieved payment that month , I didn't miss any payments , their billing company sent that months bill to MENARDS instead of myself , so MENARDS showed their appreciation by raising my interest rate as well as my minimum payment ,I am showing my thanks! by paying off my account , refusing to shop at MENARDS ever again , returning all rebates / gifts and doing a regular Buyer Beware on FaceBook do not shop at MENARDS.

Good luck returning your rebates.

Pay your bill next time and save yourself the embarrassment.

You might want to check your facts. Menards does not issue credit cards and does not extend credit to their customers.

Look closely and you will find the card is issued by HSBC and they are the company that extends credit for you to use at Menards. Your complaint should be directed toward HSBC, not Menards.

I Jan C. Lucas made a purchase of several items, at Menards 6800 Pendleton Pike Indianapolis, Indiana. The cashier informed me they no longer gave 10% discount to veterans. I spoke to the manager and he said Menards believed this was discrimination against all the good...

Menards in Dallas, Texas - I will never buy there again!

I ordered $2200.00 dollars in shingles and roofing supplies from Menards. With this I paid for delivery. Paid cash all upfront. The day before the delivery Menards called me to tell me they undercharged me $3.61, Yes three dollars and sixty-one cents. They said they would not delivery unless I paid this difference. I told them it was their fault and it did not matter. I pulled my order and went elsewhere. I will never by another product from Menards again! It is obvious the customer is nothing more then a dollar sign walking through the door.

I have always received my rebates. Sometimes it takes a few weeks to get them back (which is stated on one of the rebate slips), but big or little I get back what I sent in. As long as I followed the instructions and meet the due date.

I got burned on a $60 TV rebate. Said they never got it, I sent copies.

Then they said it was too late! Never had a problem with small rebates, but got ripped off on this one.

Menards is awesome, I've gottten so much stuff for free or cheap there. I've always gotten my rebate. If you don't like their system I guess you could always pay more somewhere else.

We are redoing a house and I have sent in over a dozen of the rebates and we have received all of them. Big ones little ones doesn't matter we get them.

Maybe somebody is stealing them out of your mail box and only taking the big ones. Just saying lots of reason things get lost in the mail.

Grand Forks store advised rebates are available to Canadians. Filled out and mailed multiple rebates in fall of 2010, never heard anything back.

Purchase decisons now made based on cash price at the register as rebates appear to be worthless to Canadians. Still a great store to shop at for price.

did they delete my comment because I put up a store number, because I can't see what I previously wrote here, hmmmmm oh well. I wish they were all like me too, I bust my butt off everyday fixing problems like this because of people with *** attitudes.

Sure I don't know your whole situation and MAYBE you really did mess something up when you mailed in your rebate, but who cares if you did or not!? The least someone could do was give you some solid advice on how to prevent this from happening in the future :)

Please understand that we're not ALL bad apples :) and I really hope you do decide to come back and shop at Menards and hopefully you run into someone as nice as I am!

Elk mound,WI is where you send your rebate- nowhere Menards related. If you don't get your rebate it wouldn't be Menards fault.

And it's nice that you are willing to cheat the system and accept your full refund when the rebate you sent in may still come.

Oh and there's no snacking while people are working. Only on break time so your *** doughnut theory is just an excuse for you dialing the wrong number.

NO TART I DID RETURN IT AND GOT A FULL REFUND -OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE ONE OF THE DOUGHNUT EATERS TOO.. THAT ARE TOO LAY TO PROCESS THE REBATES

Youall must be the brightest bulbs on the christmas tree. Seriously, rebates can sometimes take over six weeks to receive back.

That's if they are properly sent in. So for those idiots out there that mail the bottom of your receipt to the store you bought it from- obviously you will not be getting your rebate.

And for the guy who will be returning whatever the $500 dollar item is- good luck on getting your full refund- if you sent in for the rebate the amount should be deducted from your refund. Have a great day:)

On a shopping trip to Menard's in Lancaster Ohio on January 31, 2011, we were told by the check out person that Menard's no longer honor Military Discounts. We were stunned and asked why. The person said it had been in effect since January 1, 2011. Well that...

Went to Menard's today, July 4th, 2013 in Manitowoc, WI to purchase some wood and accessories. Menard's always gave a 10% discount one time per year ( wow how could they afford it?

) to veterans, even though Home Depot and Lowe's give them year round. I was told that Menard's decided to discontinue the practice. (Must have cut into the corporate coffer's). I don't expect anyone to give a discount, but you would think they would at least try to do something for the veterans at least one day a year.

For a Company that claims to buy American, its really a joke how they treat the veterans that served, allowing them to operate in a free society. In the future, I will take my business to Home Depot or Lowe's, where they at least care.

Menards in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Non response

I have had the Menards "BIG" card for years. Last year I purchased over $4,000.00. On several occassions during the past few months I have asked when I might receive my rebate as advertised. I have nver received an answer or a rebate in all the years I've had a big card. John Z. I don't know why you need one hundred words, but I would like to get my message accross before writing to the home office in Eau Claire. I now need to come up with fifteen more words in order to satisfy your recommendations.

1) Rebates for Big Card purchases are mailed out once a year. Typically in February or March.

2) If you are ever late on a Big Card Payment you FORFEIT all of your rebates. Why should you irresponsible folk get all the same advantages as people who are able to pay their bills on time.

Learn to READ the FINE PRINT and not be such a waste of space.

Menards in Danbury, Wisconsin - Said they wouldn't honor warranty more than once

we bought an counter top ice cube maker that quit working when we returned it they said the extended warranty was canceled after 1 replacement the one replacement was because it came without the ice cube basket or scoop and the warranty on the new one was void because this was the 2nd one we had replaced also the company wasn't making any money if they had to keep replacing things. what the lady didn't seem to understand is we have bought at least 3 of these things in the last couple of years so we aren't replacing the same one all the time she thought we were bringing them back just before the warranty was up. my name is Sharon DeMarte and my E-mail address is shrndmrt@hotmail.com if you have any questions. thanks
