It still seems wrong that Menards won't do something or help in some way in order to keep a good customer. Don't be so *** cold about it by just placing the blame onto some one or some thing else.

We had the same problem. My husband called me telling me during an exchange/return that they were refusing to give him his item back because he didn't have his receipt on him.

That's stealing and theft to me. I had to dig through thousands of dollars of receipts(he's in construction) to find the right one, while he was on the phone and read them the correct receipt number(a $1200 receipt)to get them to release his merchandise.

However, if we couldn't find the correct receipt they just would have kept it. How is that legal?

Menards in Pella, Iowa - Did not completely fill my deck order

I purchased an Ultra Deck kit for over $4000.00 Part way through the build, I found that My order was missing the collars that go around the railing posts. After more investigation, I found that they were never included in the "complete" deck kit I paid for. After talking to an assistant manager at the Muscatine, Iowa store I bought the deck from, the best he could do was half price on the parts. It is my opinion, and that of people I've related this problem to, that I should be provided the missing parts free of charge. With the original price of the deck, my expectation was that all parts for the plan Menard's came up with would be included. Maybe I'm being too particular, but I do think that I should receive the entire kit I was promised. Menards was good about replacing broken pieces I received, but my order was obviously just thrown together with no regard to the quality of the order I received.

I had similar issues.... decking keeps coming damaged.

initial order was 40% damaged ratio. I now have received the 3rd replacement 66% damaged. Store manager was "unaware of issues" yet his department people tell us it is a recurring issue. Each order is charges extra for special packing.

I decided to expand my deck and discovered after delivery... they forgot to order 40 composite boards (they entire deck surface). Each time ultra deck arrives damaged.

Menards will do anything to prevent a return. I probably will pay $800 to be satisfied (restocking fee).

and say I was promised a full deck? Then they should take your word for it and just give stuff away to complete your order?

Get real, buddy. You are expected to know what your getting and not everybody uses those collars, especially if it wasn't a surface mounted railing system

Why should you get parts you didn't pay for? If you should then so should I and everyone else...Then where would we be ... just because you or whoever didn't include the parts in the kit doesn't mean you should get them free.

Don't buy a lawn mower at their stores. If it don't run they won't take it back. The store manager told me that "if you put gas in it we can't take it back" how are you suppose to see if it runs without gas?? They don't stand behind the products...

A year ago I purchased a Brute self propelled mower from Menards. It ran for 30 minutes and would not start.

I was given a replacement Brute self propelled mower by Menards. This one ran for 3-4 hours. It will not stay running. I was told to take to a repair shop.

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Menards. NOT ANY MORE ! Tomorrow I will call the corporate offices and I suspect little assistance; From what I have read in the reviews.

Besides not shopping at Menards any more; I plan on filing a suit against Menards for the $300 plus dollars I was ripped off. HOME DEPOT AND LOWES here I come.

Having worked a number of years at Menards I can tell you with the exception of casual part time morning stock crews everyone is expected to work at least every other weekend and they are even pushing the casual part timers to work weekends as well. Much as it is at most retail stores, weekends are the busiest times of the week for sales. If you want a job that doesn't require weekend work, stay away from retail.

Bought a char gille bbq from menards

i bought this char grille BBQ from Menard's and they didn't sell the cover for the unit i had to purchase it online from the company that made it what a rip off i asked the people at Menard's why they didn't stock the cover for the grille that they sell and i got a half *** answer from them last time i buy anything from Menard's... i thought home depot was bad but their just as bad they treat their employees like *** poor customer service I'm not wasting my money on this store anymore

Menards in Winter Park, Florida - Wrong Flooring

We were in the Menard's in Celina Ohio. This was our first time in a Menard's and a just looking trip ended up being a $350 purchase of flooring. We were camping near by and couldnt take it with us so the next day we drove an hour and half home to turn around and drive back to pick up our flooring. They had it plasic wrapped and on a skid for us when we arrived. We got home, unwrapped it, and found out it was the wrong color. I have been told by Ray that we should have checked it before we left. That means having it unwrapped and then waiting for someone to wrap it up again. I guess in this economy that they can pick and choose who they compensate for their mistake. Lowe's and Home Depot....you have our business.

On every product, there is a 7 digit number that we use for finding everything. Look at the tag, find the number.

Got to Floor Coverings desk with the number and tell them how many you need. You must have told them the wrong stuff and are blaming it on them. Those numbers aren't back to back like 123-7834 and 1237835. We do that to free ourselves from error.

It's typical for people to blame others for their mistakes but to post on the net too? Did you even bother to check your picking ticket to see if it was the right product or even open the shrink wrap and check the box?

Even if it was our error, you at the end are responsible for making sure it's the right product. Have fun shopping at other stores that usually don't meet our prices.

When there is a skid on the bottom and a split box on top so the flooring didnt slide and then the plastic wrap...I dont know about you but I cant see through cardboard. But congrats on your superpower if you can.

Menards in Saginaw, Michigan - This is crazy

my husband and i where at the saginaw menards and we herd the GM yelling at a team member and saying that the team member was "*** *** up" and that he would take that "mother *** out into the parking lot and wont have a job there ever again" my husband and i were very shocked when we herd all of this i dont think i will ever go back after hearing all this. i dont think that man should be a GM my husband was going to punch the guy in the face because our 12year child was with us.
