Menards in Joliet, Illinois - $20.00 Rebate fraud

I just received a $20 rebate from Menards...when I went to use it I only got a credit of $5.50..The Menards store in Elgin,Il.(where i live near) told me that a $14.50 transaction was made in Fort Wayne, In.! I never have been there!!!I hope this matter can get straightened out before I lose faith in their rebates...The cashier had me sign it before I gave it to him,so I am not understanding how it was used without a signature.... He also gave my the card back,so if I am contacted by this program, I will have the bar code to read for proof of this incident....

You can use the rebate without signing it if there's a balance on it. The only time you sign it is when it is ALL used and the cashier keeps it.

Is it impossible that you or a family member used it and forgot? If so, I think there's a way the store can check when the rebate was partially used and look to see the transaction and from there maybe they could use the security cameras to view the checkout.

Give that a try, rather than some silly website. =)

I have never received a $15.00 rebate on a Multimedia Storage Tower (rebate #4538 or #4530 or 4537) (I have the cash register receipt and a copy of the rebate form I sent in--unfortunately the last number of the rebate form number did not get on the copy I made; ...

You have the ability to check the status of all rebates on www.rebateinternational.com

If you followed the instructions and it made it to the address it will be on this site. Biggest problem i've come across is people dont read the fine print.

Not only does the customer service suck in some of the departments. I called for a light bulb. I called to save a trip. I told the lady exactly what it looked like. She said, I have many bulbs. She told me to bring it in. It is not just right next door, that is why I...

The Sedalia,Mo Menards is a joke! They are always advertising on sale products and when you get there the very same day it goes on sale there either the wrong size or gone and they never get the product back. The St Joseph,Mo Menards is a very good store as they do...

Menards in Dallas, Texas - International rebate

I purchased a bicycle and never received the $30.00 rebate, in which I sent 2 times the paperwork and numerous e-mails, and nothing to my avail has worked. This has been going on since August of 2010. I am Pissed. Menards isn't any help, and neither is Elk Mound WI. I feel that my $30.00 is just out there in the wind somewhere and that I am never going to see it. My problem is that it isn't even money it is for store merchandise. Where is my check? I don't that is to much to ask?

I sent in my rebate form on September 12, 2017 and waited the 6 - 8 week period and didn't receive any rebate. It was in the amount of $72.31.

I went to the store and was told to wait another couple of weeks and it should come. I did that and it didn't come. I went back to the store and they told me it had been mailed on October 19, 2017 and I should wait another two weeks. It's now December 11th .....

13 weeks after I sent it in and still no rebate. Now they tell me to go on line and email Menards. There's no way to get through on any of the websites. My rebate is out in space somewhere and I don't believe I'll ever get it.

Menards doesn't care nor will they help. I also believe it's time for the consumer protection agency to step in and look at what Menards is doing.

I have sent in several rebate tickets for menards and haven't recevied any of my rebate checks and when I E-Mailed them they couldn't find them I'm not only pissed off as I spend quite a bit of money there and they claim they don't have the rebate tickets. I think it's time for the consumer protection angeny to step in and take a good look at Rebate International because I think they are ripping people off and that's just not right.

I agree that the rebate system is flawed and in other words useless. I too have sent in my price adjustment forms twice and followed up with a e-mail and have yet to receive my rebate. I feel that if they can't offer a consistent follow up with their promotions then they should not lure customers in with such advertising.

I bought some merchandise at a Menards store in my area two seperate times when they had a 11% rebate both times. I sent them in at the same time in the same envelope as it said I could, and only received 1 rebate back.

Both total receipes were for over $500.00.

I would like to know if I will ever get the other rebate? :cry

This is really ridiculous, If menards has a rebate system then why dont they satisfy thier customer, its easy to recive money but it's hard for them to give it back. The owe me money.

First of all, make sure you always fill out the BACK of your rebate card with proper name, address etc. without one you will never see your rebate money because at the giant warehouse the workers do not send the rebate checks to the name on the envelope, without info on the rebate card, they will be discarded.

Number 2 make sure you send it off in the mail before the postmark date which is also located on the rebate card. If you send it too late you will not be credited. Finally, PLEASE be sure to send your rebate to the address on the rebate card Elk mound wisconsin.

DO NOT send them to the menards store in your area we receive many of these weekly and they go straight to the garbage. Follow all these rules and you should have better luck with your rebates.

I to am waiting on $88 since March of 2011. 3 different rebates.Multiple times resending in copies.

They said they resent out another check. I never got it. They will not talk to me.

You can only e-mail them. The last time they only responded saying recheck your address.

They don't like to give refunds. My sister-in-law bought a train set at Christmas time for one of her grandsons.

It didn't work. She wanted to exchange it, but they didn't have anymore. They wouldn't give her a complete refund because it was over 30 days since she purchased it.

This is the only store I have ever heard of that doesn't waive that policy during the holidays. Menards is the king of bah humbugs.

Menards in Dayton, Ohio - Retained wall

Invoice # 053314 03/30/11 While the material was on sale . I ordered material to put up a retainer wall for a turn around. I gave the measurements to Menards store # 3240. The material was delivered and I did send some material back right away because I felty I did not need it. July time frame my son put up the retainer wall and I had 170 reta9ined bricks left over as well as four rolls of wall geogrid. I went to the store, 3240, with a return of supplies. The cashier, and two supervisors informed me that I had to pay return fees for material. I stated I felt I should not have to pay as they made a major mistake in caculations. I called the district manager and I recieved the same answer as well, ant that I had only three days to do so upon recieving the material. My project did not start till July--the store made a major mistake in the quanities I needed and now I have to pay for pick-up for their mistake. I do not agree and I am very upset with their mistakes. A could bricks, nbo problem, 170 bricks and 4 rolls of geogrid, not exceptable to me. I am paying for this tomorrow as they are scheduled to pick up the material, I am rteally unhappy .

Ok what they were wanting you to pay was our restocking fee which is clearly stated in the special order contract that YOU signed either at the registers on the panel at the registers orr if this was a call in the team member you talked to is required to tell you this. the restocking fee is also stated in the menards return policy. you should probably read a contract before you sign it.

Obviously more to this than you wrote. You can't be seen as truthful anyway because Menards doesn't have district manager's.

Everything is handled at the store level. Thanks for playing, though!

I know this is an old thread but seems a lot of confusion exists around this. All deliveries should be set up through a store's delivery coordinator located near the lumber desk.

At that point the rate is given based on distance from the store AND whether or not the guest/customer is getting a driveway "drop" or paying extra for in home. Those fees are all spelled out in the contract with the delivery driver/company. A ground floor in home delivery is an additional $10 (min.) and second floor or basement is another $10. An item requiring two men/persons is also an additional $10, such as a sofa, recliner, king or queen mattresses, etc..

This is all disclosed up front and paid for with the purchase so there really should be no suprises or feelings of being ripped off, you can either accept and pay for the delivery or not, buy the item or not. Problems only arise from lack of clear communication or employees making statements about charges which they are not authorized to make or don't know all the details which the delivery coordinators do.
