Exactly! my number one pet peeve it trying to be an *** to get what you want, all it does is make a scene.

I work at menards, and all i does is make me want to help you less. The entrance that nikalseyn is talking about is actually the exit it does suck that we can't have carts there but if we did we would have more theft.

you knew what you were returning, you had to have known the prices on the items if you bought them, so you had to have an idea of how much you were getting back. you thought you were getting away with free money, got caught, and now your pissed you got caught!

well this is a first, you were going to pay more for a display. i work at menards and the reason we don't sell displays when we have the product in a box is because everytime someone will get the display and then when they get up front to pay they ask for a discount because its "damaged." then we have to sell it under the cost of what we pay for it and on top of that pay and employee to rebuild another one.

Menards in Kalamazoo, Michigan - What happened to the rebate

I send in 4 rebates to Menard's and I got only 3 ,the one they did not sent was for a pack of lint rollers it was to be a five dollars , the date on the sales recite is 09- 18- 11 I need to know why they have not sent it , I mailed them all in one embelope so I know they got it as I got the ather 3 back ,I do have the sales recite for this , and the date on it again is 09 -18-11 , the Menard's address 7410 E Court St Davison Mich. hope to hear soon on this Thank's Lilzait @yahoo.com

the reason the have a restocking fee for not normally stocked items is because, its not normally stocked. once we take it back we have to find somewhere to put it and wait for it to sell because its something that usually isn't sold alot.

As for you being assured that it would look good. its an opinion and you probably would have bought it anyway if he would have said it was the *** looking thing ever.

were the employee's behind the the counter even clocked in, at my menards store its not uncommon for 5 or 6 cashiers to show up at the same time, and you are allowed to clock in any earlier that 5 minutes before when your scheduled. they might have been waiting to clock in

Customer service at menards

I was unimpressed with the help when a problem arose when an order was goofed up with shop doors I ordered at menards in hutchinson mn.First I ordered the doors with solid shafts on the torsion springs.They came with the hollow tubes.They called the company and straightened it out.fine.Then when installing them I was short the proper parts.I was told to call the company myself or they would have to charge me!I did so and the company,ideal doors was awsome,had my parts sent out to me imediatly.I had an oops and ruined a panel and ordered a new one.It showed op a 16 foot panel instead of a 12ft.They admitted they made a mistake as anyone can but told me being I didnt catch it on ther order either I had to pay the return charge and the $208 DOLLAR panel ended op costing me close to $300 dollars.I started taking some of my bussiness back to the local lumber yards.One thing to remember is that any bussiness is only as good as the people that are working there.

If it was a special order of course they are going to charge you a stocking fee. because we can't send back special orders after they get to the store so we have to stock this one item we probably wont be able to sell. they should of gone over your picking list with you before you went to pay and you should of paid attention as well.

Menards has always been top of the line if the issue is approached the right way. Issues are very few but the help has always been there but for 1 thing. They will never get that resolved :grin

This may be the fault of both sides. Menards should have reviewed and verified the order that the correct size was being order and also guest for not checking the order also to make sure his replacement order is correct.

Nevertheless, the store should have taken back the door and ordered the new panel without charging a restock fee. #1 thing is to make the guest happy.

Something is not right here. Menards has always been awesome at doing everything possible for the customer.

You are leaving out something. You probably ordered a 16' panel and are blaming them and mad cause they charged you the return for your screw up.
