Menards lied to me

I stopped in too check out a refrigerator it was $9 more then what Lowe's had it for. I asked if you would sell it to me at the Lowe's price i would buy it. A asst. manager went in the backroom and the came out and said she called Lowe's and she said that Lowe's did not have this refrigerator in stock. Lie number #1. Then she proceeded to tell me it was $23 more then what they had it for sale for. Lie #2. I went to Lowe's because i had already called them before going into Menard's they had 2 IN STOCK. And guess what it was $29 cheaper for me because i bought from Lowe's and not Menards after i told her the story. What a deal I will never go to Menard's again period. Lowe's all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when people come in to the store and demand we price match another store. Why would you not just buy it from the store that has the cheaper price.

It would be SO much easier. You guys come in with nothing to prove that said store is cheaper then us so we have to try and figure it out and when we say its not the same thing you guys get pissed at the employee who has gone out of their way to help you.

Please save everyone the trouble and just buy it from the store that has it cheaper. PLEASE.

Exactly my thought too, must be a different model. It would be strange for the two stores to carry the exact same model.

Why would you even want them to match the price anyway? Why wouldn't you just buy from the store who offered a better price from the start?

Wohooo, it was probably a different model you're to dumb to know the difference. Just cause it looks the same does not mean it's the same.

Why didn't you buy it grom Lowe's in the first place then?

The rebates at Menard's is nothing but a scam. Only sheep that wish to jump through hoops will support the scam. If you by chance would receive your rebate after two months , you can only redeem it at Menard's for another product. They get to advertise the products as...

If you were a little more informed you would know that when you use the rebate checks at the store, you do not get charged tax on what was paid for with the checks. Tax is only charged on what was paid for with cash, credit, debit, check, etc. So next time before complaining about something do a little homework.

The security guards aren't Menard team members. They are a Security Services Contractors company.

Hello, all who purchased the Forest King Log Splitter from Menards. Here is the scoop on what I did.

I took it back withing the 30 day period. They (Menards) tried to screw me around with this but the gave in later.

It comes down to the old saying. The Squeaky wheel...

I purchased my Forest King 22 ton splitter 4 years ago. Before I put it away for the winter I change oil and run seafoam in the gas for a few minutes.

I also check the spark plug and clean the air filter. When I get it out the next spring it always starts on the first pull. As far as the hydraulics I have had absolutely no problems. I have split some pretty big logs with ease.

If you take care of your equipment it will work for you. In many instances people simply don't know what they are doing or how to assemble things then blame it on poor design or poor quality material.

Why are you suing Menards? They just sell the product. If the installation was bad, talk to the person who installed.

And another thing i would like to say is that anything done by employees is done on a good semaritan act and nothing more. Everyone is told that when they are hired and its even posted in polices at the customer service desk.

Just saying.... They were trying to be helpful.

Menards in Washington, District Of Columbia - Terrible place

they are lazy and ***, No one will help lift ,move or answere questions there. This was the last time we put up with ther awful attitude. We will travel to another city to find what we need. No more shopping at a place that just puts us in a bad mood. Three workers stood around and refused to help us move some wood so we could buy some. By the way with the registers set up the way they are. You are inviting a drawer snatch. Home Depot will get our money from now on. They are polite and helpful

I send in the rebate forms, I rarely actually get a rebate. I have even had someone else fill out the form just in case I'm doing it wrong.

No rebate. On those rare occasions when a rebate does arrive, it's not a check, it's a merchandise voucher, so Menards gets the money anyway. I have learned not to pay attention to rebates.

If I want the product, I just figure on the real price rather than the fantasy price. It's easier on the stress zone.

So, you purcahsed a product that was damaged inside the container. Sounds like Menards was going to exchange the damaged freezer for an undamaged freeze; sounds fair to me.

You already drove the whopping twenty minutes to bring back the damaged freezer, open the box to inspect the one they are exchanging with you in order to eliminated the need to go back again.

I know for a fact that a Menards team member would go to "the back" to at least attempt to find the light bulb.

The other part of this is that those sale items are being sold at little or no gain for Menards. That is not your fault, but think about how fast things go when being given away
