I had a return and waited in the line for 5 or 6 min. while the employee just stood behind the counter doing nothing. I asked if there was another place to go for returns and she said no I would just have to be patient. I waited a little while longer and left to go...

If you turned around at the service desk where you return things, there is a kiosk that will print out ALL of your receipts from ALL of your purchases that you used a credit/debit or Menards card to make that purchase. So there's no excuse if you lost your receipt. Like the one comment said, do your *** homework and LOOK at your product before you even get it to your car.

Menards in Carmel, Indiana - Uncivilized staff

We bought few kitchen faucets from Menards on order that they said we will be informed when they will arrive in store. we kept waiting and after a month went to inquire in store. Our whole was cancelled and nobody bothered to inform us for this long. We were told in beginning that if the order is cancelled by us we will be charged 25% of total bill. They totally forgot their part in the whole deal. We received exceptionally rude letter from head quarters that they owe us no apology or anything at all. *** you. that was my last visit to your third degree merchandise store. LONG LIVE LOWES!!!!!!!!!

If you have an online account, you can check the delivery status to the store. Nobody is going to hire people to just sit around and send you a personal phone call about product you should have inquired about. The **** aint gonna fall in your lap.

@sure

It sounds like they did not have a phone or email to contact you. They have systems in place to contact if your info is correct.

I always get great service. Give them another shot and let them take care of any past issues.

Who wouldn't want a second chance.

@Loyal to Menards

*** had the same thing happen to me, I had ordered siding, when I did not get a call at least a week after the promised date, I called them. They told me not in yet to allow more time.

A week later I went in person to the store to check, turns out the order had been there all along!

No apologies offered, just curt rude service. I think they hire from same place Frys does...

oh by the way mr or mrs *** i think that everyone has figured out you are a menards employee,probably at the home office sticking up for your screwed up company.you are on most threads here telling everyone their wrong just like a good little genral office henchman does.good luck because most of the people have VALID complaints and know the truth.in the end your buddy john will probably *** over too,wait for it,it will come in time. oh also i said before i was a former employee so let me defend myself before you stat on me and say that i was probably fired and i am upset at the company.i quit because i found a job that had a real future where i could make more than your max wage for everyone in the stores(i belive it was 14.70 hr)that no-one seems to reach before you find a reason to get rid of them to keep the almighty payroll down. good luck with all of this and above all cut the ***(darrell from beloit wis)before he gets your company sued by someone for getting hit by another one of darrell's flying chairs when he gets a little upset

I am also a former manager of Menards, both of the Beloit store and of the Janesville store, and I can confirm that Menards as a company has no respect for their team members and surely less respect for their guests. I was terminated because I took a 45 min lunch break, my only break, on the Tues and Thur that I was scheduled from open to close because PTS didn't allow for enough team members to cover my department for me to have more breaks on those days and it didn't allow enough for a full timer to open for me in the mornings to avoid cranking those 16+ hour days.

As for all of the complaints about Darrell, I worked under him when I was hired at the Beloit store and I agree that the man has a serious issue with anger and a severe lack of people skills. When I was an assistant millwork managager he called myself and my manager to the conference room to discuss a guest complaint, which was completely unfounded, but rather than keep his cool and find out the whole story he lost his temper and threw a chair at us. When I contacted corporate to file a complaint on it I was told that someone would contact me back to get a more detailed statement of the incident, but I never got a call.

So when I contacted corporate again to follow up on the complaint they conveniently had no record of the complaint on file. Gotta love the corporate bureaucracy.

So it's the team members' fault that Menards general office or whatever raised the price of the OSB? Yea, ok...

Think about this, if the product that was on that truck was needed for a sale you bet your rear end they would have been on that truck ASAP and wouldn't have given it a 2nd thought. This truck driver and others like him make this country work, if it wasnt for him delivering MENARDS *** for them, they wouldn't have any thing to sell to the people so its a bunch of *** what all you are saying, there is no way in H*** that this place was that over ran with people to the point that would make them take 8 Hr's to get him unloaded. The bottom line is P** pore MGNT.

Truck Drivers :? LOL

So let me see if I understand what your saying

You want people to stop shopping at Menards because the employees were helping customers instead of unloading your truck ???

Stop being a whiney girl

#449953

Well shouldn't they have more people working there then? What if it was crazy busy?

THe truck would never get unloaded. I would think you'd have people who can unload trucks (as their first priority) and then help guests when there aren't trucks.

Oh wait, they want to cut cut cut payroll. The staff is about 1/2 as much as it used to be in the early 2000s.

I assume you are a driver delivering product to Menards. The reason you have to wait is the same people that unload your truck also load products for the customers that shop at Menards.

Who should come first, the customer or a driver delivering for a supplier. At Menards their customer comes first.

You need to keep in mind that Menards is your customer. Perhaps they should look for a new vendor that understands that the folks who shop at Menards make their pay check possible.

I only go to Manards as a last resort when other stores don't have the item or out of it. Getting assistance at Manards is like being on the streets of Iraq at two a.m. No one speaks or makes eye contact. I asked a young Manards employee where I could find shelving as...

If you are looking for the most popular name brands of products avoid Menards. Menards hates to have to compete with every other retailer in town for price.

It cuts into their profits. They would rather carry products that aren't in every other store allowing them to avoid competing for the lowest price, keeping their margins higher.

The check policy is clearly stated on the receipts and throughout the store. Per policy there is a 14 day waiting period for checks to clear before you get cash back.They were doing you a favor by telling you 3 days.You actually expect the store to write a note for you stating that you brought the product in before the 14 days, and want to leave it there because (A.) you were too unobservant to read the check policy, and (B.) too lazy to bring the item back to your car!Give me a break!

Take responsibility for yourself! This is the price you pay for writing checks to pay for things instead of getting with the year 2012 and using a debit card,or cash!

Deal with it!!!!!! I am constantly nauseated by the sheer laziness and stupidity of people...case in point!!!!
