My local Menards is currently over 40 people short of being fully staffed while business is like Black Friday everyday during the pandemic. Would you rather have their employees helping you when you were in the store or talking on the phone to someone who might come into the store?
They choose to help the people in front of them rather than making the phone a priority. Mast any question you might ask on the phone can be answered on their web site.
Menards department managers are "too busy" to answer the phones since their preoccupied with flirting with significantly younger coworkers, leaning against a podium desk, and playing hide and seek with frustrated customers in the store. Sound like an A+ business to me.
