Menards is the parent company of rebate international, if you by pass the retail divion you'd get your problem solved much quicker

I've sent in two rebates and both time it took roughly 6-8 weeks to get them back. You're clearly doing something wrong.

I went into the Rhinelander Menards to purchase a dishwasher, and better than a half hour with a seemingly helpful salesman I purchased a top of the line Frigidaire model discounted to $650, a $85 warranty, and plumbing hardware. When picking up behind the store it...

Thats not a bait and switch, your trying to say they gave you a dented model instead of the model on the floor... Did you check and see if the other one was still on the floor?

doesn't sound like it? And why did you unwrap it before leaving the gate, this sounds like they had reason to be suspicious

Menards in Maple Grove, Minnesota - Worse Customer Service

I needed a storm door and first went to Menards in Burnsville/Savage. The reps at the millwork dept were completely out of touch with my needs and appeared to be in a hurry to get rid of me. They were the least helpful and I guess did not care a hoot whether I bought anything or not though I was ready. I made one of the best decisions of life when I decided to leave and go to Home depot at Shakopee. What a joy !!!. i was treated like a human being. I got a better storm door, paid cash for it and left. I will not bother with Menards any more and do not intend to recommend them anytime soon....

How did you come into the store sir? did you ask for help or demand it?

Most people come in and ask for help. You pry came in and said, and I quote "i need some help over here with a door." In which, the employee probably said, "what kind of door," as there are many types of doors.

Then you got pissed off and took it the wrong way. And now you're paying more at Home Depot, which made former employees like me happy to not having to deal with your arrogant *** ***.

Menards in Rochester, New York - Defective refrigerator after 10 days no return

We bought a refrigerator at the Menards in Big Rapids, Mi. After using it 10 days it quit keeping food cold. We call Menards and they said we couldn't return it after it was once used. How do you know it doesn't work unless you use it? They said we had to call and get it fixed under warranty. We did that but it took them 18 days to repair it. In the mean time all we had was a small cooler to use and we gave them our old refrigerator which was in good working order but we just wanted to upgrade to a more energy efficient one. Please think twice before any major purchases from Manards.

@sessa before you attack people learn how to speak English

'Your marriage' is correct. It's the possessive meaning 'his marriage'.

'You're' is a contraction meaning 'you are'

Conclusion: Heartless is correct and Sessa needs to go back to grammar school.

Yeah think twice because last thing you want is them fixing a defective item for you! You people are really ***.

First of all Menards does not make the fridge if anything you should be angry at the company that produced such a piece of JUNK! Second your ungrateful it got fixed for free.

It's all Menards fault. I'm also sure it's their fault your marriage is falling apart too.

If you are serious about building, Menards is not your partner. They really do not have their act together.

All they can do is shrug their shoulders when you ask why your order isn't in yet. They make it very difficult.

Menards BreakPack Charges

As a similar post noted, Menards is now including "BreakPack" charges for special order items so beware and note your bill as they will not point it out at the order desk. Break Pack is Menards way of passing on the cost of re-packaging when you order a small quantity of item which is packaged in larger quantities back at the distribution center. In the past, inneficient shipping would be a cost to Menards however since you chose to do business with them, they have passed the "savings right back to you" :). So long story short... special order from Home Depot but normal shop from Menards (they still have a better selection).

Love Menards

I wish all of you that have complaints about Menards, could shop in the St Joseph Mo store. They are the best with in store help, returns and everything needed. I won't shop any where else. I shop there at least once every two weeks. Maybe not a alot at a time but it does add up. If I have returns, I am met with courteous and helpfull employees. I can almost always find an associate to help with items I can not find. Menards, St. Joseph, Mo. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK Sorry the rest of you have had bad experiences.

I recently speical orderd 52 bndls. of shingles and tryed to return 4. I was fully aware that I would be charged 25% restocking fee . The gate gard did the paperwork and a yard worker took the shingles. When I went in to return, a manager would not give me a credit....

Returns of Special Orders:

Special order items may be refunded at Menards® sole discretion with a 25% restocking fee.

That means they MAY take it back, and if they do it will probably have a 25% fee. I work the service desk, and usually if we stock it we don't even charge the 25%. But again, its the manager's discretion

I have personally worked for Menards and it has to be one of the WORST places of employment. The General Manager Andrew Chostner is a JOKE, they claim to be a family but all I ever see is the employees getting screwed over. They fight everyone for un employment too....

Tengbrecht clearly does not understand the process. Why on earth would we open something up to just open it up?

It's a waste of time and money. Unless we have a reason to open a package it will never happen. You couldn't tell, Menards couldn't tell, the person who is at fault is the person who returned it and LIED.

Hunt them down if it's that big of a deal to you. I really hope some day the situation is reversed so you can see how the process is in a retail store when it comes to items and returns.
