Perhaps re-read your post. If your spelling and grammar are a reflection of your I.Q., then you will have a difficult time getting hired.

On three occasions in the past 8 weeks ny family and I have been aggressively solicited at Menards to listen to a salesman pitch Direct TV. This is very annoying as you barely get in the store before being approached with "Can I ask you a question?" "Have you heard...

The International Falls store has vastly improved as of late. I started shopping there again and love the service and the whole atmosphere.

Menards in Cincinnati, Ohio - Snow Throwere leaks gas

Bought a Poulan PR621 snow thrower on Tuesday put it togather, started it, let it run for a couple of minutes. stopped it and put in the garage. Next morning gas had leaked over the sealed garage floor. Drained the tank and returned to Mernards 3 days later (Friday). Mernards said they would not take it back as it previously had contained gas. Gee how was I to know it would leak. Seems to me Mernards is doing everything for the one time sale. Of course will tell all my friends and do not expect them to be viable for long in this area

This is not just a Menards policy. It's the same anywhere that you buy gas powered equipment, at least all the big box retailers.

Walmart and Home Depot have the exact same, if not stricter policy on this matter. I work at Menards and have called competitors to find out what their policies are when people like you *** about the return policy...'I'll just go to Home Depot, they'd let me return it.' In reality, they won't.

You people are something else. It's listed on the receipt and all over the area by the snow-throwers once gas is put into any pushed power equipment it must go to a repair shop.

I'm sure Menards told you this several time but you neglected to mention it on here. It will be covered under warranty if you didn't do something to cause the issue. The reason this is Menards policy is because Menards is not qualified to make the decision on such equipment if it's a defect or a consumer caused problem.

Most items Menards sells that run on gas most people mess up because they're complete *** and do not read the owners manual. Another reason Menards does not take it back is because it's unsafe to have items in the store that previously had gas in them.

I went into Menards to grab some duct tape. However, when I arrived, I discovered that this particular is closing as of November 4, 2012. I've been living in the Bellwood/Hillside, IL area for over 18 years and everytime I turn around, something is closing. A hardware...

Menards does NOT, and has NEVER closed a store. If they are being forced to move, that is a different story. Rest assured, they will be seeking a new home, hopefully for you close to their prior location!

Regarding "What"s comment. Are you on their Payroll? Here's the gig simply put. Retailers either figure it out or they don't. Take care of the consumer or don't. Don't = you just lost a consumer for life. Now most big box retail negotiate with the vendors a % credit...

you cut the wire. The electrical department are not electricians, they are average people like you and I.

They did not go to electrical school most likely, maybe some education. The guy you sent bought the wrong stuff.

You tried to return it, opened, and cut. Good luck selling used electrical wire

This will completely enrage a few folks, so be it. Yes 12 month deployments are a real test on a family's strength.

Yes putting my life on the line in some foreign country whose inhabitants hate America is scary.

But, I did enjoy tax free combat pay - no taxes on my income. I enjoy the housing allowance that allowed me to pay rent, cable, and electric and still have some money to go out once or twice a month. I got college educated for free on the GI bill and after serving got a GOOD job making lots of money.

I didn't get rich, my marriage was tested regularly, and I lost friends.

I don't deserve a discount at a retailer.

I served, it was my job and I joined mainstream America. Thank you for thinking of me - but I did just fine without a discount.
