It is company policy not to be able to talk to any one in Customer service. All complaints must be put in writing and then they might get back to you. I've tried before to post an email and the stock answer is that the store manager will contact you. that never...

so be it. Someone else will buy them, they'll have the money for sure then.

What if the person at that store wanted them, but some person from a half state away reserved them?

Then some guy would go on pissedconsumer.com and whine about a someone buying the last cabinet, and that he called a menards a half state away and they were out. Geez, these menards people!

Here's the deal. Menards messed up our order. We order fence materials, going to the store with a drawing of our fence in hand. It took three different attempts to get the order placed. Took over a week longer to receive the order. When we finally had the...

Hey Jackwad. You sound like a cry baby.

If they won't give you a veterans discount, why don't you ask them if they give discounts to adults who act like babies (i.e.

the cry baby discount). I bet if you ask for a manager and show him your diaper, they will give you the cry baby discount.

While I respect and appreciate what our military & service people do for us day in and day out, that doesn't mean they get a discount. As said by others, what about the police, fire fighters, etc.... Where would it stop?

#541439

Menards stopped giving a military discount because a group in Wisconsin sued over it, claiming they should get a discount as well. It is true, you can't just pick any one group of people and single them out for a discount. If you want to blame anyone, blame the group who sued in Wisconsin and the court who ruled in their favor.

Not 100% on this, but I believe that if you politely let the Menards team know that Home Depot or Lowe's will honor a military discount, they will match the offer.

Again, don't be rude about it. My experience with Menards is that as a low-price leader, they will match other store's discounts, in an apples-for-apples purchase.

Sigh another one of these! You're not entitled to a discount because you were in the military.

Why don't police officers and teacher get one or any hard working citizen that makes this country what it is?

Oh I think you forgot you lived in a country where everyone is considered to be created equal........ Stop being a self entitled ***.

I work on a crab boat on the Bering Sea. The deadliest job in the world.

I risk my life everyday so people can have their crab legs at Red Lobster. Where is my discount?

Thank you so much MILITARY, for saying that. Such a touchy subject for some people, but I have never understood why some people think they should get a discount for the career they chose.

I was in the Army and I don't expect anything from anyone. No discounts - Just respect. Get over it dude.

Why does one group of people deserve a discount and not others? How about the police officers or fire fighters who put their life on the line protecting citizens at home.

Then there are the teachers that educate your children, the clergy that give you spirtiual guidance. The list can go on and on. Menards has the best price in town everyday for everyone.

You should be happy that you live in a country where you can choose where you shop. You have the choice of buying at a store that offers low prices every day or at a store that charges higher prices so they can offer a "discount" to get you in the door.

Wife was shopping at Menards, and met-up with some friends, they desided to have lunch and visit a casino close by. They all rode in one car. By the time they returned (approx. 3 to 4, hours) The wife (61years old and her mother (91 years old) found their car...

It would be alot easier to just say what probably really happened. Richards wife didnt want to drive to the casino, had some friends meet them at Menards, and parked car so they could ride with them instead of taking to cars. The problem isn't with Menards, just people complaining because the got caught.

my wife and i purchased a $1300.00 sliding doorwall from the chesterfield mi. store .

the manager at the store as i talked to him about installing this myself , he said at the department desk he had a flyer with a company and owners name he knows is good . i called and this person came out . trusting what this manager said i had the work done . when i came home to let the dogs out the door i could hardly slide open .

i called and the company came out and worked on it . two (2) days later the handle broke off and it had to be fixed to open the door , one week later i called bbb to complain and was told they went out of business . i called menards main office and got a letter back from the woman who said , oh well you bought it it's your . so the cash i asked for on the install coming from the manager is gone .

eleven months later after playing with the door ,got a pella and had them throw out the junk door .

well thats $1800.00 i guess i didn't need . thanks so called big shot at menards .hope you sleep good at night .

Menards in Dallas, Texas - Special order sink

We ordered a special color kitchen sink. Menards did not have actual samples of the colors, we had to order by looking at little dots of color on the display and were assured it would be a grainy off-white like the little dot. Sink came and it was White, White!!!! Took it back and were told it would cost a 25% restocking fee. Last time at Menards. Should have known better than buy at Menards. If they want to sell special orders they should have samples of the actual color you will get. We were not told there would be a restocking fee although it was printed on the receipt in very fine print. Would have not ordered it had we been aware of this fee.

Rebates at Menards are a scam! The famous Menards "re-stocking" fee is a scam!

If they put something(many things) in their ads, but don't keep them in stock-they consider that a special order!?? If for some reason, you don't end up needing the item(happens all the time in construction) or it's excess you get charged to return the extra. A special order should be something that is unusual that is not normally stocked and is rarely on sale. Or something that has to be cut or modified for your project specifically.

There are many stories of people getting the wrong siding and Menards charging them a re-stocking fee because it was a "special order" This is a scam!!! When you contact Menards, they just ignore you or send you to the manufacturer and that's about as far as it goes. This is ironic because many products at Menards are manufactured by Menards or a subsidiary of Menards. Midwest Manufacturing is Menards.

I am done shopping at Menards. I have no use for their "rebates" or their policies.

The merchandise quality is quickly declining. I don't buy tools at Menards(haven't for years) Basically Menards is a junk yard instead of a lumber yard.

Yes you owe a restocking fee! For several reasons.

One being it takes up room at the store and it could be there for several months to years getting in the way. Have a nice day :)
