this mananger should be fired before xmas .we had a problem w/ our log splitter and he did not have the time or effort to listen to our needs this braydn told me this conversation is over . nice, he needs to be on cart patrol instead of trying to be a manager did nothing to help us or even listen to our problem menards should really look into this guy. the price of this log splitter was over $900.00 a small amount of money to this guy,i will tell everyone about the service braydn showed me also will never shop there again it is very up setting to buy something brand new and have problems w/ it and not get a chance to get a replacement and be treated like sh.. thank you braydn we will never shop there again. p s karma is a good thing good luck !

You payed 900 for a log splitter! Problem solved.

Log splitters don't know where to hit the log either! Every split a log by hand? Did it split perfect? If so, why did you get a log splitter then.

Did you blame the forest you got the log from?

Did you sue the log for not splitting. I'd go after the logs, I hear they're loaded.

Sounds like you didn't take the time to review the warranty on the log splitter. It doesn't say to take it back and get a new one.

It covers the repair of the log splitter. It has a gas powered engine just like a car you purchase.

If your new car has a problem you take in in and get it fixed. Take your splitter to the repair shop Menards gave you the number to and they will fix it at no charge under warranty as long as the problem wasn't caused by something you did to it.

You're leaving out a ton of information. I can promise you he said exactly this "ONCE GAS IS PUT INTO IT HAS TO GO TO A REPAIR PLACE." If you did not cause the problem it will be covered under warranty.

It's listed on your receipt and all over the area by the log splitters this is the policy on gas powered items. The reason it's this way for gas powered items is because Menard's employees are not qualified to decide if it was a manufactures error or your error. Gas powered items often get majorly screwed up by people like yourself. I can assure you if it took you over 6 hours to put it together you messed up something.

It takes me less then 2 hours to do it by myself and my manager can do it less then 1 hour. Not to mention your writing indicates a lack of intelligence.

I can assure you he said this conversation was over because you refused to listen. He was probably tired of repeating himself.

YOU CANNOT EXCHANGE GAS POWERED EQUIPMENT ONCE GAS IT PUT INTO IT!

IT MUST GO TO A REPAIR SHOP! HOME DEPOT AND WAL-MART ALSO HAVE THIS POLICY.

You need a axe. How is a machine gonna be able to split a log if you can hardly split a log.

Humans have muscles.

Log machines, cant gain momentum. Solved, just pay for three months in heating and dont get a log splitter.

Menards in Lawrence, Kansas - Menard's - It's About Time

I have heard great tales of Menards for years. Finally, they have opened a store in Topeka, KS, which is much closer to our home. We love the store and the customer service. We have been there many times already and will be back many more times. The in-store assistance is GREAT! The response to questions and/or concerns could not be better. We have special ordered items and have had only one itemwhcih did not arrive on or before the stated date. When we called to check on it the Customer Service staff was very helpful and diligent in their response. Two days later we not only received the item but received, in a separate mailing, a gift card as an added apology for the item being late. No, not a single complaint from us.....Keep it up Menards --

Menards in Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Extremely rude when we returned defective product

My wife and I had purchased a 3 piece rug set from Menards. When we got the set home the largest sized rug was rippled from the other 2 rugs being wrapped inside the largest one. We returned it to the customer service department today. We were treated very rudely and were asked where the plastic was that the set came in. They asked us how in the *** we expected them to resell it without the sku numbers? My wife said that wasn't our problem, to which the customer service gal said " You don't have to get snotty with me!!!" A manager was called and low and behold on the corner of the bigger rug, there was a sku number. I have bought thousands of dollars of stuff from Menards, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be treated like a thug. I'll go to Lowe's or Home Depot and Menards can kiss my DIY ***!!!!

I have a feeling this story is rather embellished. A cashier would be terminated for use of profanity.

That being said, when making a return, all packaging needs to be included.

No cashier at the service desk would do what you're claiming and still have a job. I highly doubt you're telling an accurate story.

I love how you think spending thousands of dollars somewhere entitles you to something. Your money will not be missed the owner of Menards is the richest person in Wisconsin. I also know you will be back because Home Depot and Lowes are no better. They have more complainants on here than Menards.

I've read a lot of them, most are completely bogus. The real problem is the consumer not understanding something and instead of trying to understand they start to make silly demands out of ignorance and the belief they are entitled something.

TRY BEING NICE TO THE CASHIER/SALES PERSON AND I BET NEXT TIME YOU GET BETTER RESULTS. DON'T JUST ASSUME THEY'RE GOING TO BE NICE TO YOU WHEN YOU'RE BEING A JACK@SS TO BEGIN WITH.

I got screwed over also. I bought a chain saw from menards and the thing only ran for 20 minutes.

I took it back the next day and one of the personnel there tried to get it going with no such luck. I was pretty much told that since I put gas in it that it was mine.

Yes I put the correct fuel mixture in it, but the simple fact is the product was junk. My solution to the problem is: (1) be glad they only got me for $119 and (2) that I shop elsewhere now.

These are a low priced disposable freezer made in China. They are disposable because they would cost more to repair than to replace.

During the warranty period a freezer like this can be returned for an exchange, there is no coverage for lost food. Always make sure a freezer is cooling before filling it with food.
