Menards in Saint Paul, Minnesota - Found what I needed more cheaply.

I went to Home Depot and Lowes to get the kit for stacking my washer and dryer. Not in stock at Lowes and $29.99. Special order at Home Depot and I was told no one stocks them. Menards had it in stock for $20.99. Taking the customer to the product is basic retail 101, Kevin Richards. I've never been too busy to do that.

Pointing is not just rude, but also makes a customer feel that you don't appreciate their business. If I'm helping another customer I briefly tell them that I will be happy to "Show" them where the product is as soon as I finish with the other customer. Whenever I get a "Pointer" when I'm spending my hard earned money in another retail store I ask them to take me to the product.

That only *** off the truly selfish or lazy person while it is a lesson learned by an employee who has the desire to grow.

My guess is the reason this happened is because there is a requirement for the rebate that you must buy so much of the flooring to be eligible. For example, if the rebate required that you buy 100 sqft when she rang it up in 2 separate transactions the system only showed that 50 sqft was purchased per transaction and wouldn't create a rebate receipt, as the register has no way of knowing both transactions were yours.

The cashier has the ability to (and should have) ring up one transaction and split the payment itself between both cards. If you take both of your receipts into the Service Desk they should easily be able to combine the two transactions for you so you can get your rebate.

There shouldn't even be any issues with your cards delaying credit back because it's just a matter of transferring the funds between your transactions and the new combined transaction. Hope this helps and please give us another try.

Well I see our incompetent clueless is back at it. I am not surprised with the typical menards service talked about here, sounds pretty common for menards.

I wish people would wise up and shop somewhere other than menards. All you have to do is read what this menards employee clueless writes and you can see how you will be treated in the store. My hard earned money does not go to menards anymore, even if I have to spend more I will shop elsewhere.

The customer service at menards is a joke. Try Lowes or Home Depot, they do treat their customers with respect not disdain.

Kearney is a great Menards store!

Went into the Kearney Menards store to buy some doors, windows, toilets and countertops. Everyone I talked to in the store was very polite and helpful. One guy stuck out at me the most I bought all my oak 6 panel doors and jeldwen windows from a young millwork manager Garrett I believe his name was helped me through everything showed me the different types of doors and windows what they offer the pros and cons very honest.pleased to say we got everything installed and everything works just as I imagined. I will be showing in the Kearney Menards every time I need something. Thank you Menards!

thank you so much for posting this positive comment in the hopes it will offset all of the negative feedback on this forum reguarding Menards. Perhaps the everlasting F rating with the BBB both Menards and our "rebates international" division will be less of an issue as well.

We personally will verify Garrett gets the all mighty 10 cent raise twice a year so he can help pay rent to you.

Perhaps Garrett might even treat you to a happy meal with this added income. Thank you again for bringing Garrett into the world and more important thank you for your posting

Obviously, you are a new customer. If you could please give me Garrett's full name and position, according to the new customer to guest relation manual he has pushed you beyond menards current sales program.

Our policy has changed which now menards will now offer only mediocre service, it seems as though Garrett has advanced to level 3 in our new manual.

I will contact the Kearney manager, whom by the way I personally know, and see to it that Garrett is offered a position of greater importance in our program. Thank you for posting such a brilliant comment about the great customer representatives we have working here at menards, next time you come in the store I will see that you receive an additional 11% discount.
