Menards in Springfield, Illinois - I'm moving and I hate it

I am moving to Florida and I found out that Menards do not have any stores in Florida. Hey menards, build just one store in clermont, ok? I'll miss this quality store. I am hooked on Menards products. This is a quality store that I'll miss visiting every Sunday morning. Those who are pissed on this site, I'm pissed because I'll no longer have a Menards fix every week. Build one in Clermont.... Says I don't have 100 words so I'm pissed about that too, haha. Hey Menards, I'll try to make a trip to Illinois from time to time and i'll make sure I'll visit Menards. Is this 100 words now?

Dear mr moving to Florida, AKA long term menards employee trying to kiss up to get a raise up to $8.45 per hour. The menards company has a lot of flaws of which majority is overlooked and ignored by corporate. Take your business that genuinely appreciates your business, not one that provides nonstop worthless excuses for poor quality products and no service

Last weekend I was at the Menards store on Clyborn Ave in the lincoln park area of Chicago and requested to have a Key copied. Apparently they discontinued the manual key cutting machine and replaced it with an "automatic" vending machine. I asked a middle age employee...

Sunday morning 9:30 four cash registers open with 8-10 people in line. What's wrong with this picture? I would like to see more personal checking out when there is more than 4-5 persons in line. When looking around there is plenty of employees just standing around just...

Just because there are people working does not mean that they know how to run the register. We are trained for days on a register and tested thoroughly to see if we can run it correctly.

It takes one press of the wrong button to screw up the whole transaction. We do our best.

Give us a break once in a while. You dont see me going to the place you work and pointing out everything that you do wrong.

Are you an ***? It says on the rebate slip you send in that it is on and in store credit.

Do you not read a contract before you sign it? Do you not read the headline of the paper before the story?

I went to Menards because I was and told them exactly what I wanted. A low-maintenance deck with the dimensions. I also went to Home Depot for the same thing. I ended up buying the Ultradeck with uv protection (is that the fusion) I just got it down so it hasn't faded...

You bought it from Menards, then you hired a delivery driver. The problem occurred with the delivery driver, so that's who you need to speak with.

This isn't a difficult concept.

I can believe half the wood was damaged. Wood doesn't have to be 2x4s, it could easily be 1/2" plywood or something else that's pretty easily breakable (not demolished, but easily could have corners snapped off, etc).

Could also be wood siding, or a myriad of other things that are not what is traditionally considered "lumber". It just says "wood".

Talking with a customer service representative will not change anything about how Menards order items. Matter of fact Menards system is highly effective.

It much quicker than having a human do it and it greatly reduces errors. Do you have any idea how many different products Menards sells, now imagine having to manually place an order for each and everyone of those once the quantities begin to get low. What most people do not understand is that Menards normally and most major retailers do not have endless volumes of stock. It simply does not work that way and the last thing a retailer wants to do is buy more than they can sell.

And sometimes simply supply cannot keep up with demand, that falls onto the manufactures shoulders.

The only thing Menards ever sells out of is sale items (reread my supply and demand comment or try googling it) or items they low stock because they're not quick movers. It's very obvious from your argument you lack knowledge with manufacturing and retail.

I mean why would Menards pay for your hiring of a shotty worker. Do you have to pay Menards when they hire a bad worker?

No? OK just making sure. I hope this was a lesson for you to teach to your students. There is a real world and living under a rock doesn't help you any.

Wake up...smell the roses and do something for yourself. America home of the freedom to be whatever you want to be; you just have to work for it.
