No rebate check

Sent rebate to company but did not receive rebate. Rebates international are of no help and do not return calls or emails. I called corporate menards and they allowed me to send rebate paperwork directly to them.

Where do you think your rebates went the first time you mailed them? It will just get walked down the hall to where the process the rebates and get added to the pile waiting to be processed.

We bought premium cedar tone decking and the quality was horrible..cracked, warped, split, stain job was barely done on a lot of boards.. Returning them wasnt a option as hired a contractor and borrowed a trailer.. We live an hr away also.. I talked to manager and all they did was gave me corporates address... All corporate did was send a letter to manufacturer to contact me which was a month ago and nobody has contacted me.. Everyone is passing the buck and nobody wants to be accountable for this issue.. ,

It's always a good idea to go into the yard and look at their stock rather than relying on the handpicked boards they have on display. They aren't going to spend much time sorting boards they are pulling for deliveries especially if it is stocked above the ground level in the rack.

Then go over to Home Depot and compare the quality of their treated wood. The difference is quite remarkable.

Discrimination

I am a widow with a dept of mental health placement. We recently went to your store to purchase a kitchen faucet.

I was wearing a mask but my placement will not wear one. I explained to them he is a ward of the state and cannot be forced to do anything. We were not allowed in because he wont wear a mask. Your policy discriminates against people with disabilities and anyone who has health issues that cannot wear a mask.

I dont care if you are a privately held company or not..you DO NOT have the right to discriminate against ANYONE. I am writing my senator josh hawley and i will tell everyone i know not to shop at your store.

They aren't discriminating against anyone. They want EVERYONE to wear a mask.

Even people with disabilities can catch the virus. The reason for wearing a mask is to help prevent the wearer from spreading the virus to others. Just before you start exhibiting the symptoms is when you are most likely to spread the virus. Letting even one person in the store without a mask defeats the purpose of the mask policy.

Either start shopping alone or shop on-line. Stay out of stores (and there are many) that require a mask.

If you lose or misplace your receipt you will be offered one penny for your return ,sure after they check your Id at this great company.No problem there because there are other stores like lowes Or Home Depot with better customer service.God bless U!

If you used a credit card, debit card or paid by check, which most people do, you can look up your receipt at the kiosk by the returns desk. Without a receipt they will offer a credit check for use in the store unless what you are attempting to return is discontinued, special order or a high theft item.

You will always find it easier to return products at any store when you have your receipt. If you look at the posts for Home Depot and Lowes you will see people having difficulties returning products without a receipt there as well.

Vague answer, I showed the employee a receipt of another item from the same transaction and the manager after checking that in his computer was able to print a copy of my receipt after a got hard time and offered a penny?! I *** there will be no more pain at menards because I will take my business somewhere else.If you guys canโ€™t answer customers questions just that and no need to wait six months.By the way, the item I try to return was damaged and not opened just what the cashier try to impose that and doesnโ€™t matter the method of payment wether it is cash,credit or any other method.

Poor business practices

I ordered some bathroom faucets on Menards.com with free ship to store. At absolutely no point was there any indication that what I ordered was a special order until it took forever to get there. I ended up having to buy different faucets because my contractor couldn't wait. That was just the beginning of my Menards Customer service nightmare. When the faucets finally did arrive, I went to return them and was told that there would be a 25% restocking fee!!! I spoke to the store manager who basically said too bad, then refused to provide any corporate information and told me to go to Menards.comthe assistant manager said he was very sorry that apparently I cant read!!! I Tried to show them that it doesnt give you any idea that what you are ordering is a special orderbut the guy literally just walked away. I emailed corporate but they basically said that I was on the hook for the restocking fee even though it was extremely misleading on the website. I have spent over $2000 in the past 3 weeks at Menards but they are losing a customer over a $150 restock fee. Bad form, taking advantage of the consumer with deceitful business practices. Do not shop there! They are awful. They do not care at all about doing the right thing. There was nothing special about the faucets that I ordered, had there been even the slightest indication that they were a special order or that they couldnt be returned, we would never have ordered them.

I have reached out multiple times to have ANYONE at Menardโ€™s contact me so we could discuss this & they could see exactly what I see when I place an order. They refuse to even pick up the phone.

Yes, my โ€œsubjective opinionโ€ is that this is a poor business practice! I just donโ€™t understand why they wouldnโ€™t at least hear me out & try to make it right.

It isnโ€™t even about the money anymore. Itโ€™s about the fact that they donโ€™t even care enough to discuss it.

If it was a stock item they would have had it at the store for you to pick up right away rather than it having to be ordered for you.

We thought that โ€œshop to storeโ€ simply meant that they needed to send it from a distribution center. It was not clear at all that it was anything special.

We ordered 3 different orders & the process was exactly the same. Only one was โ€œspecialโ€ & there was absolutely no indication of that difference.

Your Lawyer Has to contact Menards. Considering you mentioned the word lawyer, you former employer Will Not contact you for Legal reasons. I assume you have the money to pay a lawyer.

Are they telling you that they haven't received your rebate and to resubmit it using copies of what you originally sent? If they never received the original they aren't going to be able to send you anything until you re-submit.

They have required masks since the covid problem started. Don't you think they checked out the legality of their policy and if it was a problem the policy would have ended 5 months ago?

Grow up and wear a mask in stores that require them. It's not going to hurt you to wear a mask in a store for a few minutes.

Defective Lutron fan light control

I purchased a LUTRON Maestro Fan /Dim Control #363**** on 7/8/20 with my Menards card. Why I selected this switch was to match it to one I purchased for another bedroom across the hall earlier in the year from your Green Bay store. I installed the control and ran the fan and light through the settings and every thing worked fine, being the way I am about double checking while running the control up through the settings again the switch started making a clicking noise and all the switch indicators lights went out and the control was dead. I sent an email to the Escanaba store where it was purchased on the 10th of July about the failure and if another switch could be sent to me, the trip to that store, which is the closest to me, is over 120 miles round trip. As of 4:49 today the 14th of July I have not received any response. I ordered a new switch from Menards online yesterday which should be here in a cpl days. I fully understand that things can be defective. I don't understand the lack of any response from your store. How long would I have to return the switch to a store for a refund? To make a 100+ mile trip just to get a refund or a replacement isn't going to work with the current situation in the world, I keep my trips anywhere to a minimum. Please advise on how to proceed.

Rather than making multiple posts on a complaint site your time would be better spent picking up the phone and calling the store and asking your question. You would get an instant response.

I entered the complaint and sent it, and received an email asking me to verify my email address and leave a review if desired. About 2 hours later, I received an email asking me to verify my email address and leave a review if desired.

So I went through the process again.

I didn't know if my first one didn't go through, or why they wanted me to send it again, but I complied. But thanks for your input.

I believe their point is your time would be better spent being proactive and reaching out to the store. Instead of complaining on a third party website that the people you are complaining about donโ€™t bother to monitor.

Youโ€™re basically just venting to the web.

The company wonโ€™t respond. So instead of wasting your time here it would be better to find a channel available to solve your issue.

I go to the store after ordering online. When I get there I have to ring a bell for service. A person comes into the area pushing a cart with merchandise in it. He says hi to me and proceeds to use the computer station to process the items in the cart. I rang the bell again thinking he was not assigned to the pickup department. He said "you already rang the bell." I said then why are you not helping me? That is when he finally asked me what I wanted. After giving him my order number he went off to get the items. One half hour later I asked another clerk to investigate why it was taking so long. Well I had to track down that clerk that I had spoken to the second time and he made excuses as to why it was taking so long. The level of customer service at Menards is absolutly deplorible. I will NEVER shop there again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Period. FULL STOP!!!!!

If you were going to the store anyway why didn't you just go to the store and buy the items you wanted? You would have saved the service fees and the waiting time for someone to find your order as well as the time you spent placing the order on-line.

Or just take your business to a retail store store that provides free front door curbside pickup. Menards has the customer f@***g around driving to the back of the store, wait in the receiving area for a short tempered employee to help, wait for them to gather items then proceed to checkout. Not only all that but they str0ke you with fees that other retailers do not.

Curbside pickup - worst

Curbside pickup was the worst Ive experienced. Waited and waited. Called twice and then finally was told I was waiting in the wrong area - very rudely... no signs, no directing from the guy at front, nor the workers around the area. Map provide with email with location is incorrect. And the worst part is the Lenard charged a fee for pickup where as Home Depot and Lowes doesnt. Will definitely share my review with others. Not worth it.
