Nobody is going to care because at some POINT THE CONSUMER needs to take responsibility for their purchase choice. Educate yourself on the return policy before you make a major purchase!

It's posted all over the area by the mowers, on your receipt, at the return desk and finally on the Menards website. The manufacture is the one responsible for how items are returned after all they made it. Menards is just the middle man. AND ONCE AGAIN THE SELF PROPELLED FEATURE ON THE LAWN DEVIL HAS A SIMPLE FIX, all you need to do is contact the manufacture and they will guide you to correcting the issue.

Everyone in the Hardware department was notified of the issue and it's simple as tightening a nut. However, may I ask a question why did you choose to purchase the cheapest self propelled mower Menards offered?

And I when I mean cheapest I mean by around 200 dollars cheaper than the others? THAT'S THE FIRST HINT, IT'S JUNK!

The type you bought is specifically called Natural Ultra deck it is literally made to resemble natural wood. It is not for everyone however it is in demand.

If you don't want that type then buy a different type.

If you look at their website they offer many many kinds. Welcome to the real world an adult shouldn't need their hand held through life.

I to experience the same thing. Had a knee replacement went in Menards in Schererville for a small base light bulb.

Where are they upstairs. UPSTAIRS! Well, hobbled my way up there.

Here's a lady working the the lighting isle & half the isle was empty.

She said oh were out, sorry.

I thought how could a huge store like that have no light bulbs.

Menards in Lima, Ohio - Ultra deck received damaged

My ultra deck arrives damaged even though I paid for special packaging. After 3 attempts it still isn't right. My second order (to expand my deck) they never ordered the decking (50%of it arrived damaged)> I have paid 3 deliveries... 3 special packaging and now 25% restocking fees for poor quality material for over $1000 out of pocket. I have held off contractor to fix issue but it has now been over 6 weeks of hassles. Contacted the store and they say they will replace... difficult when it has a 30 to 66% damage ratio on each delivery. Today I paid for a pick up and driver damaged the product by just picking it up with the forks and dropping it on the truck.. Then I am told he can not pick up the entire load because he didn't plan on it.

Same issue with mine as well, except the driver was good enough to point out the damage to me. Again this is a horrible product and since MIDWEST MANUFACTURING IS OWNED BY MENARDS, they have got to be well aware of it. Obviously it is a business decision, so the margins must be healthy, especially if they keep screwing people like you, shelbd63 and myself over.

Truth-they do deliver and it is a shame that there is so little lack of customer service that they can deliver (and you do pay for this) damaged goods and there is no accountability on Menard's part.

And Menard's contracts these delivery drivers so this should not fall back on the consumer but on Menards to deal with their delivery drivers.
