On 8-14-2014, my wife and I went to our local Menards store to purchase a storage shed. One of your employees, named "Devan M." told us about some that were on sale. We decided on one that was 10 feet X 3 feet, which was just the right size. Devan M. wrote up " picking...

You clearly stated that you went to menards to purchase a storage shed. The only thing you did was go there and get an estimate.

Why didnt you purchase it before you left the store?? If Devan told you that you could pay later hes wrong. When he clocks out no one in that department has a clue your coming back to purchase something. Devan isnt the only employee in that department.

When you get a picking ticket you need to go pay for it in order for menards to hold the product.

How can you expect a store to hang on to something you never purchased and on top of that for 2 days?? come on use your brain

Menards - Online services just ridiculous!

Such a big store as Menards does not have 1-800 # for customer service??? I was shocked when purchased online some vanities and cabinets, and after 2 weeks noticed that my order "will ship in another 4 weeks!!!" That means 6 weeks just to order stuff probably from China or HonkKong, and then it gets to you in two months!!! WOW... So disappointed. And when I decided to cancel order, start searching online for a CS 800 # and did not find it. Instead they have just simple "Email us" form, which usually cheap small companies does usually, that can not even afford 800# to have. I'm recommend anyone who want to order anything from Menards.com online - think twice before you do it. First you pay them money upfront, so they can use your money for new orders etc, and second - you don't even have a customer service at all, except Email form. By the way, when I walk into one of the Menards stores and asked CSR about my order - they also said "we don't have anything to do with online orders". Ridiculous!! Beware!!!

the problem with communicating by email or even their lame fax idea is they don't contact you anyway....we had an issue with in store purchase paid for our product have receipt and when we went to pick it up they refused us the order....our order is paid with a paid receipt...it has been two weeks and had to hire attorney because the general manager refuses to release our materials and customer service hasn't responded to our complaint....they are ridiculous I wouldn't wish that store on my worst enemy we will shop somewhere else from now on....

You seem to have no problem with placing an order on line. Why do you have such a problem communicating by e-mail. If having a person to talk to is so important you should have just gone into one of their stores and made the purchase.

I worked at Menards for years and you're right! The problem starts with leadership at Menards, they have none!

They hire individuals with zero leadership skills and just promote them all the way to the top if they do enough c0cKsuuccklng. There training system is horrible and there is zero communication between departments and the general office. They push all the good workers out because they actually stand for something. Menards wants robots who just do as they told regardless if it's ethical or not.

That's why they hire young and dvmb, they're easy to manipulate and brainwash. If don't klss@ss you will be the odd man out very quickly. Doesn't matter if you have perfect attendance, know your stuff and stay busy even when it's slow. All that matters is if management likes you or not.

That all goes back to their hiring process of managers and training in general. Let me tell you a little secret nobody who works at Menards is happy. They hate it, they talk about it every day how much they hate it.

At least my store was that way. The GM is a brainwashed fool and thinks he is living the dream, well perhaps he is, but everyone of his department managers can't wait for the day they get out of there.

Menards in Circleville, Ohio - *** running the custom countertops department

My husband and I had every measurement possible for our countertops. The assistant manager of the department entered it into his system way to long. I took his print out and re-measured. Good thing I did but when I went back in the manager of the department rudely told me that she needed cabinet to cabinet measurements. Needless to say I left to the store went to get the measurements and returned. Well the dumb *** put the extension of the bar to the inside of my counter. Someone needs to send these idiots back to training. Of course I am now hearing all the other people that have had the same issues in our town.

If you take a good look at the diagram they gave you all the dimensions are there for you to check. A mature individual would have pointed out that they were wrong and needed to be changed.

I expect by your post there may have been some misunderstanding in your communications. Unfortunately they can't read your mind and that is exactly why they print the diagrams they do, everything is there in print for everyone to review.

Funny how someone who is grown up, acts like they are seven years old. Adults can generally state their bad experience without childish name calling.

So I ask you leave the name calling to the kiddies okay. Also funny how you are calling them idiots and other childish names when you don't leave two spaces between sentences, something that is taught in the second grade.

So, the whole world revolves around you? I think you were the one with the attitude.

You could had gone in, and got everything you wanted, and asked for assistance, and I know they would had loaded all for you, and took it to your car.

You are a goof, and I am glad you acted like the fool, and got arrested.

I purchased a Lawn Devil. The self-propel stopped working on the first use. I had to drive 45 minutes to a service center to get it fixed, drop it off, and pick it up the next day. 3 total hours driving to service this thing, because Menards wouldn't let me return the...

Nobody is going to care because at some POINT THE CONSUMER needs to take responsibility for their purchase choice. Educate yourself on the return policy before you make a major purchase!

It's posted all over the area by the mowers, on your receipt, at the return desk and finally on the Menards website. The manufacture is the one responsible for how items are returned after all they made it. Menards is just the middle man. AND ONCE AGAIN THE SELF PROPELLED FEATURE ON THE LAWN DEVIL HAS A SIMPLE FIX, all you need to do is contact the manufacture and they will guide you to correcting the issue.

Everyone in the Hardware department was notified of the issue and it's simple as tightening a nut. However, may I ask a question why did you choose to purchase the cheapest self propelled mower Menards offered?

And I when I mean cheapest I mean by around 200 dollars cheaper than the others? THAT'S THE FIRST HINT, IT'S JUNK!

The type you bought is specifically called Natural Ultra deck it is literally made to resemble natural wood. It is not for everyone however it is in demand.

If you don't want that type then buy a different type.

If you look at their website they offer many many kinds. Welcome to the real world an adult shouldn't need their hand held through life.
