I went to the menards store in Baraboo, Wisconsin. I can not wear a face mask due to health problems. We were in the store about 10 min.and a worker asked if I had a mask. I told him I can not wear a mask. He said ok and with in a minute a young man approached us and said I had to leave the store immediatly because I did not have a mask. I told him I couldn't. He said it didn't matter and I had to leave. He said he was the assistant manager and the rule came from corporate headquarters. If I needed to buy something I should go on line or call for pickup. We were looking for a grill igniter and the first 5 we looked at didn't work. Who wants to drive 50 miles for junk. I will never shop at Menards again.

What is it that you don't understand when they have sings posted and they tell you that you need to wear a mask if you shop in their store? If you don't want to wear a mask don't shop where they are required.

There is really no reason that you can't wear a mask for a few minutes while you are in crowded public places. If you feel that it is that hard to breathe with a mask you shouldn't be risking your health by being out in crowded stores anyway.

This experience has left a horrible prospective for the company and unwilling to return. Ive never experienced such rude customer service in my entire life. This cashier obviously doesnt have any customer care or care for who shes working for. She was extremely disrespectful and rude. This cashier started off upset that another cashier had a question that she had to assist her with while we were entering her line. She told us Just a moment this girl just isnt getting it Then when she finally returned she started scanning items from our cart and literally dropping them hard back into the cart or chucking them down the conveyor belt. I approached her after this went on for several items being concerned of items being damaged. I nicely asked Could you please be more respectful of my items? The cashier sharply replied with a snotty attitude You can wait back in line and have someone else help you if you want. And I told her I just dont want what Im purchasing damaged. The cashier then started throwing items to the end of the conveyor at me and them shoved the cart to hit me. I spoke with Dakota at the service desk who radioed the assistant manager Jen to speak with me regarding my complaint. Jen apologized and gave us a form to complete and send in for complaints. She stated that my concerns would be addressed however this cashier was still left on the register to mistreat customers. Im sure theres cameras to reveal the incident. From this experience and response Im not comfortable taking my family to this location or possibly any Menards location if this is how they now operate. Menards shipped the wrong furnace filters, 4"x16"x25" instead of the two 4"x20"x25 that I ordered. Menards has failed to respond to several emails to solve the problem.

Kitchen cabinets are so cheap and terrible

Went to get 2 wall cabinets at Menards in Marion, OH. Got home and neither of them were the same. Called store and they said that had some in Ontario. I asked that they be brought to the front of the store so that could exchange them quickly. The lady on the cabinets dept. in Marion said that she would do that without a problem. 30 minutes later I arrived at the Ontario store and no one knew anything so I had to wait another half hour to get these cabinets. Got home to mount them and noticed that the doors on one cabinet that were put together clashed. I called the manufacturer Cordell and the lady there didn't have a clue what I was talking about . They are about the most poorly made cabinets that I have even seen. I can't believe that Menards can not give decent service or quality products.

Descrimination.

After spending 1200 today I was leaving your store. When I realized I needed paint.

On my way to get it Mathew I believe it was told me to pull my mask up. I told him I was having problems breathing. He said I needed to leave the store. I told him he could.

It discriminate against me because of my condition. He said pull it up or leave. Thats why I am pissed. You got 6 thousand of my money right now on a cabinet order.

Not only do you treat me like I dont matter. You violate my civil liberties. Thats why I am pissed.

I will tell everyone about my experience. I hope you get sued.

Why in the world are you shopping Anywhere when you have breathing problems?

If you went back in and were having trouble breathing, you should have left and looked for a doctor or visited the E.R. Any money you just spent/previously spent is not a valid excuse to rationalize an exemption.

You Karens always post how much money you spent or I have so many contacts as if that is to scare someone.

What if you were having breathing issues because you were Covid positive? No room for maskless shopping here.

Only part of what you are assuming in 99 is left on the damaged tag. It also looks like there is a part of a number one in front of the 3 so my guess it the tag may well have been 13.99.

Mask enforcement

I've been a long time customer with the West Bend Menards store Today I went in to purchase 2 new ceiling fans. I know you have a mask dress code, though I tried explaining to 2 employees behind the return counter that I have severe asthma.

They refused to serve me and made no exception to my medical condition.

Obviously I walked out of the store empty handed. I am so disappointed on how I was treated, especially being a paying

Customer. Which in return pays those 2 employees wages. Whatever happened to customer service???

Sorry, but even people with asthma can wear a mask for the short time they are in a store. And yes, people with asthma can catch and spread the virus.

Why should Menards risk the health of their employees and other shoppers just because you don't want to wear a mask? They did the right thing in keeping you out.

Actually no peiple with Asthma can not wear a mask! The mandates make special provisions for people with lung issues, anxiety and PTSD and other disabilities! Even in a state of emergency they by law can not Demand you wear a mask.

Menards - Price

I went to buy a screen tent. The sakes price was un front of screen tent for 79.99.

So I grabbed one. When I went to check out I got charged 124.00 fir the screen tent. I told the cashier that the sake price was 79.99. She told me to go to service desk.

I went and talked to manager about price. She told ne the tag was put in the wrong place. I stated back to her. I should get the sales price.

The manager stated no. Customer is always right. I dont feel I should if not paid 124.00 fir screen tent because Menards employee put sales sticker in wrong place. I shoukd have got sale price.

The manager talked to me on the ohone after I left. She watched video. The cashier lied to the manager. She tokd manager that she took me over to show me it was not on sale.

No I took her over where they where. She moved the the tag. Before the manager checked it out. I spend alot of money at Menards.

Looks like I will have to find another place to shop for my needs.

When The sales price is in front of the product you should get it for that price not my falt the stock person put sakes sticker in front if wrong product. Very unhappy with Menards.

The customer is not always right. A store has the right to charge the correct price for an item.

I'll bet that if it rang up for less you wouldn't have said a thing.

Yes, one of their employees may have put the tag in place by mistake or even put the stock over the wrong tag. It is also possible that someone was looking at an item and put it back in the wrong spot and it's even been known for people to switch tags.

Junk wood delivered to my house

Went into menards and paid over $3000.00 for deck lumber and 90% of what I got was junk holes in it chunks missing out of the wood and gouges that look like they have been hit with a fork lift. Called the store and some guy showed up at my house without even calling to look at the wood and took some of it but did not get a call back on what he took and looked through the wood and said he would use this but I could not tell you if this guy has ever built a deck before but with the crown facing up this stuff is junk!

I wish I could send pictures in this Paying over $3000.00 for deck Materials and delivery and to get this stuff is unacceptable. I would like the lumber replaced with lumber that is right. I have paid for someone to build my deck and now have wait to get it done and it could be a month before the person building it can come back now that my steps on the back of my house have been torn down I have no way to take my dogs in and out to use the bathroom. I am handicapped due to a broken leg and have a hard time getting around this is a very big inconvenience for me if someone could call me and let me know what can be done.

I went to the store today and the guy expected me to tell him how to do his job and how much lumber I needed when it was on the ticket order. If he canโ€™t tell how many rows it takes of lumber to put this section of deck together then he probably does not have the need to be a manager.

I am assistant manager of a tire store and if you tell a customer that you are going to do something you better dang well stick to your word. The general manager told me he was going to replace all the deck lumber and did not do that.

Did you go out and look at their lumber before you purchased your deck? One of the things you would notice is lumber that looks like this in the rack.

The next thing you would notice is the way it is slid into the racks. It's a PIA to get a large quantity out.

You can bet the people pulling your lumber are going to pull it off the top with little or no sorting. Go to a Home Depot and you will see a difference in the quality of their lumber and the way it is stocked.

I shopped at Menard's in Greenwood Indiana on 135 without a mask on 9/11. Today on 9/13 I went back and they would not allow me to make my purchase. The lady behind the service at desk spoke to me rudely and said I had to leave. Her mask was below her nose when she was talking. I pointed this out to her. I saw several people shopping with mask below their nose. I believe I've been discriminated against because I have an exemption.and I believe there is legal action I can take. I will never shop at another Menard's again.

I walked the whole store without a mask on because of my medical exemption and not 1 employee was spotted until I went to checkout where the cashier said I needed to put my mask on. Told her I have a medical exemption and that when the problem started.

Manager walked up and said to put my mask on told him same thing I told cashier. Told him its discrimination against people with medical conditions under HIPPA and Osha.

Osha states no one should wear a mask if breating is difficult. The incident occured at Warsaw, IN Menards store on Sept 24, 2020 after 4 pm

OSHA covers employees & employers, Not customers. You are a Customer, Not an employee.

So, the comment you made about OSHA Does Not apply to you since you are Not an employee. That means Any business Can Require You to Wear a Mask.

What makes you so special that you think you can enter a store requiring masks without one? If you are still breathing you are able to spread the virus if you have it.

The mask helps prevent you from spreading the virus. Stay home and shop on line if you feel it is too much of a burden to wear a mask.
