What kind of a scam are you trying to pull that you wouldn't accept credit to the debit card you just used? Must have been a stolen card our you wouldn't be insisting on cash back.

I would have called the cops and find out what the whole story is.

Menards only refunds cash when the purchase is made with cash. Purchases made with a credit or debit card will be refunded to the card.

@Anonymous

They did until the Home Depot deal where customers info was not kept secure. They don't post this anywhere but on the return counter, would be nice to know before choosing which method to pay with.

Menards now also personal hygiene products to assist people like you. Use the return to exchange for tooth brush, tooth paste, deoderant, and soap. The customers complained about the odor

Menards in Henderson, Kentucky - Mennards won't Refund for Amana Washer.

For starters, Do Not Ever buy Any Appliances, mattresses, or Expensive items from Mennards. My mom ordered a mattress set from them back in June of this year, and I kept checking online to see if it was shipped to our local store. It NEVER left their warehouse. So in frustration she and I went there and demanded a refund. Which she got back-to-back but she had to pay a 25% reshelving or restocking fee!!!!!

You seem angry. Your ignorance is why your angry.

It's clear you've never worked in a retail setting. Next time you place a special order anywhere you should read what they hand you. It will explain what can and can't happen. Only way a restocking fee would have been issued is if the item had actually been shipped somewhere.

It's to recover shipping/handling CHARGERS THAT YOU GOT FREE TO START WITH.

What does ordering a mattress set have to do with an Amana washer? Don't think this poster knows what they are talking about.

Menards - Work Experience Review from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota

I've only worked this company for a little bit over a month. I can say that they could possibly be the worst company ever to grace our country wait the whole planet. For starters they don't do very well in training their new employees. For instance I had my orientation and was given a star date with no instruction to whom I was training with. Fortunately I had a friend who worked with me and was able to help to the best of their ability. I haven't shadowed anyone nor have I had anything legitimate training in a month. Also it took 3 weeks to receive my first pay check which was only for orientation which was a whopping 15 dollars. .this place is a joke. .75 % of the stuff is clueless and they don't practice costumer service at all.

I work for Menards and I love my job. Menards can and will be everything you make it.

There are tons of training opportunities available.

Appears to me the problem is the lack of an appropriate work ethic. Show some gumption or quit if it really is all that bad......

Quit if it's so bad. Someone with your attitude isn't doing Mernards or their customers any good.

I suppose you won't sit on a public toilet seat either. If you feel threatened going out in public you should take someone with you in the future.

I made an error in an order while shopping at Menards.com for a bathroom faucet. I went to cancel the order right away and couldn't do it, because they don't give you that option. Then I tried to call them to cancel the order, but no 1-800 number is posted anywhere....

We ordered some Christmas lights that were supposedly in stock at it store. Well they were labeled wrong at the store so the order was automatically placed on backorder with no way to cancel it.

Pending authorization and estimated delivery date of 12/29. We called several times to cancel at the store but they said it was separate from online even though it was ordered as store pick up. The only way to cancel is to fill out some *** *** from online and hhope that someone will respond before the authorization goes through.

Which it should not unless we pick it up, which we won't. No customer service number...how *** cheap and *** are these ***?

Menards in North Platte, Nebraska - Employees not paying attention to you when you ask them a question

My Girlfriend and I went into Menards in North Platte Nebraska on Saturday November 8th 2014 at 1:30pm. We saw some calendars on a rack in the middle of action alley. I asked the lady that worked their if they had anymore calendars in the store and she turned her nose up in the air and walked away! I tried to get ahold of another employee and they all walked the other way! That is really *** bad customer service! I used to work at Menards and you are suppose to help your customers not *** walk away from your customers! Their employees are the most unfriendly people around! The only friendly person in their was our Cashier named Doug!

Not all Menards Stores are created equal.........

4.9
Details
I don't believe ALL the Menards' stores in Green Bay are created equal! I will agree with the poster for the negative comments on just Menards West as I've never visited Menards East. I live fairly near to the West side store and have not been treated well nor do the employees seem to have a handle on the department they work in. However, the total opposite is true of Menards in De Pere who have hired exceptional employees tripping over each other to help their customers. I go there regularly and speak to the "same" people, which proves low turnaround, and everyone is knowledgeable and very helpful. They are probably the exception to the rule, but if you live near Green Bay, try Menards in De Pere, much different shopping experience!

The problem Menards has is there is no one out there to enforce policies in a consistent manner. If all stores followed the policies the company has, your shopping experience between stores would be more consistent.

They did away with district managers years ago so it's up to individual store managers to interpret policies. They all have their idea of what to do. Some are great for employees and customers, others suck at their job and everyone suffers. Sure, they may get an occasional visit from a buyer or someone at the general office but with close to 300 stores these visits are rare and always by a different person.

All they get is a snapshot of what's going on at the store for a few hours while they are there.

A store has to get to a really bad point where the complaints from employees and customers build before anything gets done to improve the situation. At that point it a long tough battle to turn things around.

You don't know what you're talking about. The De Pere store is formally the Green Bay West Store, they were the 26th store Menards ever built.

They built a 250,000 square foot store and moved into the De Pere location. Since they've moved their they've had very high turnover. Over 50% of the people who moved to De Pere from Waube lane no longer work for Menards. And they struggle to keep new employees.

Also since moving to De Pere that location has struggled. And everyone working their HATES IT AND WANTS TO QUIT. Their sales are down at least 50% since moving to De Pere, they used to be ranked in the top 125 stores now they're lucky if they break 225 out of 285 stores. The store you're calling the West store is known as the HOWARD STORE, not GB-WEST.

It a totally brand new store that opened in summer 2012. The Green Bay East store is an older store that they recently renovated into a larger location similar to De Pere and Howard.

@Heartless

Sorry Heartless, you sound like a very disgruntled ex-employee/manager! Either you study "Menards" at some institution or your days are spent investigating Menards' for some unknown reason.

Anyone who can recite the stats regarding employees attitudes, percentages, and especially numbers, i.e., the "26th store" to open displaying 250,000 sq ft. Who in the world would know this *** if they hadn't worked there at some point? I can only speak from my experience and I still deal with the same people I have for a year now and everyone has been great!

If employees want out, all they have to do is quit - what's the problem? Forgive me for not "labeling" the west side location as "Howard"; bravo, you cast the first stone!
