We purchased a deck went to move it and it fell apart should get some kind of kick back for it. This sucks marke up our 1920 wood floors

What on earth are you talking about? First of all you normally don't move a deck, once you take it's support away the structural integrity is gone.

What really doesn't make sense is how it could possible damage your wood floors? Have you been smoking something not legal in most states?

I wondered what they were talking about too. So I read it a couple times and figured it out.

I bet they meant DESK not DECK. Moving a desk that falls apart could damage an interior floor.

People do need to take a few seconds to proof read what they have wrote or typed...

Do not order anything that needs to be shipped from Menards. We ordered tile trim from them and paid $19.40 for shipping. When the trim arrived, they were packed in flimsy boxes that were too big for the pieces and the boxes were not reinforced. Both trim pieces were bent in half. We contacted Menards and received no assistance what so ever. When a customer pays for shipping, we expect the order to arrived in good condition. If not, the company should handle the shipping issue with the shipping company. We got no assistance from them and will never do business with them again.

I'm a former employee they don't treat you fair and you never get your brakes when you should sometime they would just skip your brake all together pis poor management, and not flexible hrs as promised horrible places to work !

I've worked for Menards for years and they have never said they would put brakes on my car nor do I expect them to. As long as you get your availability in before the schedule is made I've never had scheduling problems.

I expect you are asking for days off after the schedule is made. You should be finding someone to cover your shift rather than expecting your manager to find someone for you. If you have made major changes in your availability from what you said you could work when you were hired, you might not get as many hours as they will have others already working the hours you now want.

They can't just give you the hours because you want to change your availability. There has to be enough traffic in the store to support the extra staff.

Spent over 800 at Menards for kitchen counters and cabinets. customer service is -20. Arin in cabinets at Manchester in Ballwin Mo. is one dangerous person on a fork lift. She was more interested in complaining about other employees and showing off on the fork lift then she was helping me. I hate them and will never shop there again I will go to lowes from now on and if you are smart you will stay away from those rippoff artists. Everyone at their stores need to take some customer service traing because no one there has any at all. From management all the way down the line...

Well I didn't think they did either but that is what she was doing, I was looking at counter tops and she wasn't listening to me about what I wanted and she went and grab a very large fork lift and proceeded to pull a pallet from way at the top of this tall shelving and put it on the floor and then noticed she had pulled down the wrong one. It was very scary to me.

She was truly an unsafe person. She worked in cabinets and counters not receiving...

Normally people working in the cabinets department don't drive forklifts. Don't expect someone in their receiving department to know about cabinets or countertops.

You don't say that you even tried to return it or file a warranty claim with the manufacturer. Looks like you ran to your computer to complain before you even checked into what would be done.

What kind of cleaner did you use? Perhaps you used a corrosive cleaner that caused the problem.

I just want to say that the employees at menards east could take a lesson from sheila about customer service. most of the time when you ask for directions they just point. i found that eveytime i have went into the store and asked sheila for directions she has dropped what she was doing and offered to show me. believe me customers like that personal touch. I thought at first it would be just a one time thing so i went in the next time and tested her again, let me tell you , i have been in that store quite a bit since then and her attitude and service has never waivered. she is an asset. sometimes i just seek her out to say hello. she is a keeper.

It's Menards policy that their employees walk you to the product you ask for, however it's just amazing how many people wait till they get to the back of the store to ask where light bulbs are. If they just had their eyes open when they walked in the entrance door they would have noticed the huge lighting display right inside the entrance door.

Same with the huge paint cans as you walk towards the back of the store.

They have a lot of displays and signage to let you know here things are. Unfortunately with as few employees as there are, you will be pointed to an area rather than the employee leaving the area they are assigned to in order to walk you across the store to show you something you should have seen if you had been paying attention to what's around you in the store.

Your absolutely correct about the false advertising, it goes on everyday at that place. These trolls who represent Menards are nothing but low life cowards.

Average IQ for any store manager at Menards <60. Average IQ for these trolls< 40.

The store I work at had several pallets of this coffee. Still had stock on Monday morning.

In addition to the regular stock location it was also sold from a pallet in the main aisle of the store. Perhaps you ran across an employee from a department that doesn't sell the coffee and wasn't aware that there was more available than what was in the regular stock location.

Too many people assume that everyone in the store knows where every item is located. Make sure you are talking to someone that works in the department that sells the product you are looking for.

Why do you call Derek and John idiots? You are probably doing so out of ignorance as to how a retail store operates.

You also say nothing about what the item is. Your order arrives with thousands of items coming into the store each day. Special order items are tagged as such and should be put in a special order area when they are spotted. Unfortunately if you are ordering a small item it may get sent to the floor with other freight to be processed and put away.

You may have been sent an e-mail through their automated system letting you know your item had arrived when it came off the truck. Unfortunately it may take a while before your item is actually seen and moved to the special order area. This has nothing to do with the intelligence of the individuals you dealt with, just a system that has a lot of product flowing through it. Sometimes items get lost in the shuffle.

Looks like they tried to re-order for you but your lack of information really doesn't tell the whole story. If you are going to post, tell a little more of the story before you start insulting people.
