I placed a large order with Menards and paid 100.00 delivery fee. My order was in last Saturday but they didn't have a driver! I was told they would deliver yesterday (following saturday) and they didn't! I just called and was told by the manager it will now be next Saturday! Poor business Menards! I have 2 different contractors waiting on the supplies! I've never heard of a delivery service that don't even have their own drivers!

Menards does not deliver the products you ordered. An independent delivery service makes the delivery.

If you look at the delivery agreement you signed they will be listed on the agreement. The delivery services are required to have drivers available 7 days a week. Have you requested that the delivery only be made on a Saturday?

You shouldn't have to wait a week for the delivery to be rescheduled. You can bet Menards is looking for a new delivery service if the service they have can't provide drivers

it will be delivered next saturday........... maybe.

If not it will be delivered the following saturday..........

oh wait thats july 4th, well then we will have it out by the end of the year if the stars are lucky enough to line up.

thank you for your pre payment in full so we can collect interest in the mean time prior to delivery.

Menards in Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Customer service

Very disappointed in the service at the east side store in Sioux Falls today. My son and I are regular customers weekly and spend a lot of money as Menards is one of our favorite stores. As I was walking out of the store today I got hit in the ear with something, I believe it may have been a large pack of gum. An employee behind the customer service desk threw it at another employee and missed and hit me. I believe they don't belong in customer service if they act like that. Maybe they need some classes on work ethic and the do's and don'ts of the job.

I mean definitely an epic fail and you have every right to be mad but not really a knock on customer service more on just children being immature. Should've called the police for assault that'd teach em.

Menards in Waupaca, Wisconsin - I was injured while picking up wire in yard

went to pick up wire in yard . A young man named Zack wound the wire on the spool. He then asked me if I would hold it from onwinding while he took it off the winder. As he did that it snapped back and pinched my fingers. I asked the man at the gate what I should do about it . he said don't grumble to me it isn't my fault. I will likely loose 1 finger nail. I guess I expected better treatment than I got from your employees. I've been a menards customer all my life. If I don't get a response I will not be back

You complained to the wrong person. The guard at the gate does not work for Menards.

Separate security companies provide the guards at the gate. You should contact the store manager if you have a problem with an employee.

Anytime you have a problem (not just with Menards) make sure your are addressing the problem with someone that can actually do something to solve your problem. Complaining to the first person you see or jumping on the internet and complaining on complaint sites that have nothing to do with the company usually won't get you very far.

You won't get a response because this doesn't link to Menards staff. Contact the store and talk to the store Mgr.

Explain what happened.

Then if nothing happens I would move on as well.

Menards corporate office may not directly reply on here however there are many menards employees who like to play "volunteer superhero" on here and make up the most nonsense and irrelevant justifications for situations posted on here but always twists everything to blame a frustrated customer for poor quality products, dangerous situations at stores, or untrained, rude and or unmotivated staff.

Take you money elsewhere

Menards in Lincoln, Nebraska - Don Maxon, wanna be controlling manager

Beware of Don Maxon who works as a Manager at the North location in Lincoln Ne. He absolutely has no business being any kind of a manager. He treats the employees and customers very rude. I have seen him be little his employees in front of customers. He is very immature individual. A bad manager can take a good Staff and destroy it causing the best employees to flee and the remainder to lose all motivation. It is time to get rid of Don Maxon. The employees do not care for him what's so ever. Bye bye Mr. Maxon. Good riddens

Menards - Trim Board Review from Russellville, Indiana

Details
Menards provided all material to build my house. Their estimator missed 8,800 in wood. So I paid. Menards estimated my drywall 1000 short. I paid. Final straw, menards underestimated my trim board by 500ft costing me 600 dollars. They had professional drawings, from a contractor. However, their negligence costed me almost 10,000 dollars. I feel like they purposely gave me an improper bid to win the contract. One mess up, I understand; multiple mess ups. Means gross negligence on menards behalf.

Based on the fact there's hardly any money in boards and drywall I don't think it mattered where you went to get those things. $10000 at menards or $10000 at depot.

As far as trim board I am impressed with the quality of the trims since there is little waste meaning I buy less of them. Plus if you had something estimated it shows what you planned on buying.

Wouldn't you notice the quantities were less than other estimates? Its pretty hard to miss that much trim on either end so buck up and take responsibility for being just as *** as the possible first time estimator.

I have been using Menards for a year. It has been going on for the last 4 months trying to get orders straight or delivered in a reasonable amount of time it's been a complete fiasco. Every order placed in the last 4 months has been wrong. They're changing items and sending stuff I didn't order it's ridiculous. For someone who spends $100,000 a year you think you would get good service not at Menards. The general manager is useless. He has no idea how to improve the issues at hand. I pay for a delivery and it's always wrong. I have to spend my time and money to return the wrong items and get the right ones. Do you think they will do anything about it? Not even a Menards hat. I am personally going to Lowes and Home Depot from now on. It's nice to know that they don't need my money very bad. I would like to see Menards boycotted. An angry former customer.

Went to buy some 1x3 deck boards and drove to the lumber shed to pick them up.....the guy never could find them and I had an apt and had to leave. Next day I went and got a refund. Bought an expensive yard statue there and the paint started chipping within a month, Same with the fountain. Stood at the power washers for over 30 mins....no customer service. Wanted a unstained cabinet and waited over 30 mins and left, came back next week and finally tracked someone down and they said they would be a highlift to get it off the top shelf. 30 mins later someone finally shows up on the forklift. Got the cabinet home and unwrapped and huge scratch on the front. Stained it and the cheap plastic draw carriers broke. So I had to fix that. Very cheap, glued together with a plastic angle holding the staples in place. Don't wait your time, go to LOWES!

There's a good saying for your situation. You get what you spend.

If you're too cheap to order something nice and sturdy, then don't waste your time.

Also, did you notice the people around you probably asking the employees for help? You should have done so in the first place.

How about this? If you want a lock re keyed - pay a locksmith!!!

A retail employee being poorly paid and with 4 or 5 minutes trying did her best. I'm sure you thought that a $4 re key was a deal and didn't want to pay more.

This is the stupidest service Menards offers. Better yet just suck it up and use two keys!!!
