Website store and brick and mortar stores are two different businesses. The prices do not have to be the same and they do not have to adjust or match them.

If an item is marked at a price and the sku matches the store must honor that, that is a law. You can look into that yourself.

I once was shopping for a coat and was able to purchase a Clayborne wool coat for $180 under cost because it was improperly priced. I didn't complain. I went to purchase it fit the $89 that I though it was going to cost, when the cashier rang it up it rang up for nearly $300, which I didn't have. I told that wasn't what it was listed on the rack.

It wasn't any problem though. She called the department they checked and saw that it was priced incorrectly and I received my nice $300 wool coat for $89. That was J.C. Penny

This guy has every right to be pissed.

He should have received the item for the price it was marked as long as the sku matched the product. It is federal law that if a product is advetised at a set price the purchaser has the legal right the buy the product the the price listed. Just like gasoline. If you pull into a gas station and pay for gas the tenant cannot change the price of the gas.

Even from the tube you pulled in because that is a advetised price. Advertisement is a legal agreement.

This policy is listed on your receipt and near the gas powered equipment. The comprehension of this policy is not very difficult to understand.

It's to protect Menards and Manufactures from incompetent people who often damage their equipment. Say you sold a tiller next thing you know they wanted to return it because it was no longer working, however, the reason it wasn't working was because they incorrectly used the tiller, what would you do? Would you be like oh yeah sure no problem here is your money back! I will gladly take that tiller back and lose money on it because I can no longer sell it at as new because it has BEEN USED....

Yeah you could be telling the truth, but I can assure you most people don't. They try and take advantage of retail stores left and right. If Menards doesn't look out for Menards who is going to?

The consumer? Highly unlikely, all consumers care about is themselves.

Menards in Springfield, Illinois - Spent reoughly 5,000 dollars

spent over 3,400 today at menards am getting rebate 11%. spent over 2,000 in april and wanted to get 11% I was told it had to have been within a certain time frame for price adjustment. I did not know so I am missing out on rebate for the other moneys. Don't think I will continue to shop menards will go to lowes instead. Disappointed I know if they wanted to they could give me the 11% discount. I do like their workers they are very helpful and pleasant. They do a better job than lowes so if this could be worked out I would be thankful. Sincerely Theresa Meadows

Dear Theresa Meadows, This is not a MENARDS WEBSITE. It's a public forum.

Your argument is even worst. It's not cohesive and lacks detail to what the problem really is.

Matter of fact the part where you talk good about Menards comes across much more clear. So why you would choose to shop at Lowes at all over Menards makes even more apparent how low your IQ really is.

Menards in Springfield, Illinois - Failed Return Policy

I purchased a tiller from Menards in Springfield Illinois. I used it for less then an hour when it died so I packed it all back in the original packaging and took it back to the store where I was informed that gas items cannot be returned. They have to go through a local repair shop contracted by Menards. No problem. Get it fixed and and I am back in the gardening game. Until the local shop tells me that they are backed up for a minimum of 3 weeks before they can even look at it. After that it would take time to order parts or do the paperwork to replace the unit. 5 weeks from now what use will I have for a tiller when planting season is long past. The only thing any live person I can get access to just says that there is nothing more they can do to help. Hundreds of dollars spent for an hour of use. What a waste of money and of a store.

There's a difference between a 2-stroke and a 4-stroke. Common issue with things that run for an hour then die because it wasn't lubricated properly. Good luck!

Have you ever had problems with a car you bought? They fixed it, not replaced it or gave you a refund because that is what the warranty on a car calls for.

Guess what.

The manufacturer warranty on your tiller also calls for repair, not replacement. As a consumer, you should educate yourself as to what warranties and return policies are before you buy a product.

I hate to say it, but having worked for a company that had a lawn and garden equipment repair shop, that this is the absolute worst time of year to get a repair done. Think about it, everyone is trying to get their equipment fixed.

And the repair shop is doing warranty work for the manufacturer.

They don't care if the product was bought at Menard's or anywhere else. A line is a line, even for a Big Mac.

First of all, quit with the all-caps, you look computer illiterate. Second, you are mad they ran a sale a week later, without telling YOU ahead of time?

Oh the humanity!

The fact they let you take the rebate is a week later when there are no "early adjustments" at the store speaks volumes. Get over yourself.

What are you complaining about? They told you to get the form to send in for an 11% price adjustment rebate.

Pick up the form and send it in. Keep in mind that if any of the $358.63 with of items were on sale, you wouldn't get the rebate on top of the sale price.

What is the problem? You purchased items and you are no longer happy with those items because Menards ran a promotion a week later?

Did you not need those items? Were you not willing to buy them with out the promotion? Oh wait. Wait one minute.

You were fully happy with your purchase prior to this promotion!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then all of a sudden you expect Menards to give you a price adjustment because they ran a 11% rebate promotion a week later. Why?????? Menards does not owe you a price adjustment.

Why can't you expect the fact you made a choice to purchase a week prior because thats what you needed and when you needed it. Perhaps we should throw a tantrum like a child because 3-months from now Menards will run another 11% rebate sale and we are owed a price adjustment on all the pass 3-months of purchases as well.......

GET OVER YOURSELF. -Sincerely yours John Menard

This story sounds fishy, the fact that you DO NOT want them to check the cameras makes me think you were trying to steal the $5 item. Even if this is not the case grow up, own up to your mistake, you are the one that was careless so you have to wait for them to return your item. No wonder your own son cannot stand you that he has to move far from you.

Menards in Chicago, Illinois - Lack of customer service

I ordered a chair online. I noticed that the store locater was on a store in chicago instead of the store I was browsing. Long story short, I ordered from the wrong store. They said there was nothing they could do about it and I would have to submit an email. I have yet to hear from them two-days later. Would like to have my money back the workers were not helpful and could offer me no solution except for to wait. Ido not think that a company so large should have any problem having a 1 800 number to take care of its customers. This by far my worst experience anywhere with service.

So you knowingly ordered a chair from the wrong store? Why would you blame the employees for something that is your own fault?

Because we as Americans find it so hard to admit we made a mistake. Especially when we're the customer.
