Menards in Eau Claire, Wisconsin - Damaged merchandise

we custom ordered a garage door & service door, when contacted it was in we got home and all they gave us was the hardware for the garage door, forgot to give us the panels. We live in Chippewa Falls so that meant another trip to get the panels. Service door has dents and scratches as does the garage door panels, we spend a lot of money using a Menards credit card and we pay it in full every month or so. I would expect excellent quality merchandise. We live in Chippewa Falls that meant another trip to get panels.

How could you not notice that the panels weren't there? The hardware box is only 2" thick.

As for the dents and scratches on the service door, you should have asked for a different one. There is cardboard around the frame but the door is exposed, very easy to see if it was damaged when you picked it up.

Yes, they may not have loaded the complete door but as a responsible consumer you should take a look at what you are leaving with, especially if you made a long drive to pick the order up. Being a little more observant on your part would have saved the drive back.

Your first problem is throwing away your receipt. You purchased a product with a 2 year manufacturer warranty.

How can you prove when you bought it without a receipt. Next, you failed to comprehend the signs posted in the area of the mowers that told you you couldn't bring it back once you put gas in it. The warranty requires you take it to a service center.

If you didn't agree with that policy you should never have purchased it there. You only have yourself to blame for the situation.

Ordered new kitchen cabinets and appliances from Menards and they screwed the kitchen cabinets up and the counter tops and their dishwashers SUCK!!!! Been without a kitchen for 7 weeks waiting on the correct order to come in. We have 3 little girls so you can imagine my frustration with no kitchen to feed them in.

Menards in Wichita, Kansas - Lousy Maytag Dryer

When Menards came to Wichita, Ks I bought a Maytag dryer that I thought was a good product and price. WRONG! For two years 4 months, Maytag kept sending me notices to buy a warranty and after going into the third year guess what happened? Maytag stopped sending out notices to buy a warranty and the drying went out and would make a loud grinding noise and the body started to rust. I am on SSD and needed this dryer because of health problems (chronic pain). Menards sold me a piece of junk that was probably fixed to last 2yrs.

Why are you complaining about Menards rather than Maytag? You chose to buy a Maytag appliance which like most appliances comes with a 1 year warranty.

Menards and the manufacturer of almost every appliance you buy offers an extended service plan to cover the repairs beyond the first year. This would be true of any other store you could have bought the Maytag dryer at as well.

Don't blame the retailer for products you feel have failed you...blame the Manufacturer. As you look back, would the cost of the service plan Menards or Matag offered have been worth the cost?

Menards - Online Order Review from Indianapolis, Indiana

I placed a large order with Menards and paid 100.00 delivery fee. My order was in last Saturday but they didn't have a driver! I was told they would deliver yesterday (following saturday) and they didn't! I just called and was told by the manager it will now be next Saturday! Poor business Menards! I have 2 different contractors waiting on the supplies! I've never heard of a delivery service that don't even have their own drivers!

Menards does not deliver the products you ordered. An independent delivery service makes the delivery.

If you look at the delivery agreement you signed they will be listed on the agreement. The delivery services are required to have drivers available 7 days a week. Have you requested that the delivery only be made on a Saturday?

You shouldn't have to wait a week for the delivery to be rescheduled. You can bet Menards is looking for a new delivery service if the service they have can't provide drivers

oh wait thats july 4th, well then we will have it out by the end of the year if the stars are lucky enough to line up.

Menards in Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Customer service

Very disappointed in the service at the east side store in Sioux Falls today. My son and I are regular customers weekly and spend a lot of money as Menards is one of our favorite stores. As I was walking out of the store today I got hit in the ear with something, I believe it may have been a large pack of gum. An employee behind the customer service desk threw it at another employee and missed and hit me. I believe they don't belong in customer service if they act like that. Maybe they need some classes on work ethic and the do's and don'ts of the job.

Menards in Waupaca, Wisconsin - I was injured while picking up wire in yard

went to pick up wire in yard . A young man named Zack wound the wire on the spool. He then asked me if I would hold it from onwinding while he took it off the winder. As he did that it snapped back and pinched my fingers. I asked the man at the gate what I should do about it . he said don't grumble to me it isn't my fault. I will likely loose 1 finger nail. I guess I expected better treatment than I got from your employees. I've been a menards customer all my life. If I don't get a response I will not be back

You complained to the wrong person. The guard at the gate does not work for Menards.

Separate security companies provide the guards at the gate. You should contact the store manager if you have a problem with an employee.

Anytime you have a problem (not just with Menards) make sure your are addressing the problem with someone that can actually do something to solve your problem. Complaining to the first person you see or jumping on the internet and complaining on complaint sites that have nothing to do with the company usually won't get you very far.

You won't get a response because this doesn't link to Menards staff. Contact the store and talk to the store Mgr.

Explain what happened.

Then if nothing happens I would move on as well.

Menards corporate office may not directly reply on here however there are many menards employees who like to play "volunteer superhero" on here and make up the most nonsense and irrelevant justifications for situations posted on here but always twists everything to blame a frustrated customer for poor quality products, dangerous situations at stores, or untrained, rude and or unmotivated staff.
