At first it was nice but employees know nothing about promotions or making sure that customers are fully aware if all parameters. I signed up for a menards big card thinking we could get the 6 months interest free, well I did not know you had to spend 299 in order to get that.

My total bill was 293.96, not one time while at the store or checking out did any employee tell me about this. So now I have to pay all the interest! This turned me off so bad, so I went to the store if there was anything I could do, and an employees response was that if I had caught it at thr inital purchase that they could have fixed it.

The problem with that though is thst customers should not have to point that out, thats why companies have employees to help customers!!! I will never shop at menards after this, worst customer service I've ever had in my entire life!!!

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Only ignorant consumers get exclusive store credit cards that are owned and operated by a specific bank. You can't blame the employees on this.

You need to read and read again! It's already been stated by someone else that there are banners all over the store explaining the promotion. Anyways store credit cards are typically a scam. Anyone who has more than 1 credit card is rather clueless about how credit works.

Don't buy stuff you can't afford in the first place!!!!! If you can't afford to make a purchase of 293 dollars out right you have problems!

There are signs and banners in the store and if you bothered to look at the packet of information you get when you apply for the card it tell you about the 3 options you have with each purchase including 6 months of no interest on purchases over $299. All too often people ignore the details that are right in front of them.

You'll also be glad to know that by opening another charge card you probably made your credit score go down---the more cards you have, the odds are your credit score will go down.
