Mastercraft Doors (owned by Menards) are Junk
After repairing all 17 interior special order doors received from Menards I was told by Menards and Mastercraft that they could not compensate me for the cost of repairs.
My only option to collect on the extra cost that I had to spend to repair the doors is through small claims court.
All door hinges were routed too deep so that the door would bind and pop open when closed. The stops were damaged as manufactured and all stops were replaced. Three french doors had header jambs cut too short, so short that the doors could not be opened, all three header jambs had to be replaced with new jambs 3/8" longer. The list of problems is long. As a Home Builder I will not buy another item from Menards.

I find it hard to believe that all 17 doors had the exact same problems without some installation error involved. I have used Mastercraft doors for many projects and on the occasion when I have had a door that was was not fixable midwest mfg worked with me to find a solution to the problem.
maybe your rough opening was not to correct size by your polish carpenter :grin

I have used many Mastercraft doors from Menards and have never had a problem with them. The last door I ordered was a 42" Exterior door with a large oval glass. It was delivered to the store in perfect condition and installed easliy.
